I would like to post about the gear that would be best for me.
Please leave any suggestions or comments about this set up for me!
I would have Vog Cub Cap and Coat for my armor set up a Barbarious thorn shield for my shield and a Voltedge, Glacius, or Combuster for my sword.
I understand that I need more swords as some monsters are strong against one of the swords I mentioned ,but this is just my general 1st set up.
Please Respond and post suggestions I'm looking forward to it!
A Swordmasters Gear
Thanks for the info I think Im going to try to get a Voltedge or Glacius then a Nightblade.
The best Brandish is Glacius. Especially solo. Having that crowd control can really help you out when dealing with Retrodes especially. Personally I prefer Divine Avenger due to the sheer utility of its charged attack, especially in arenas. But either will work.
You definitely want a shadow sword. Nightblade line is pretty good, but Faust works too if you're feeling frisky.
And yeah, get a piercing sword too. Barbarous Thorn Blade is pretty good, and is probably slightly better than Final Flourish. But either is fine.
Lastly, you'll want a gun for when the situation calls for it. Running face first into mobs isn't always the best idea.
You shouldn't be getting two 5* swords before you get a third. Level them evenly, and get three (or four) slots first.
There's always the issue of getting a Gun and a Bomb, and I feel that the best bomb for a swordsman is the Shivermist Buster.
The best sword to compliment an Elemental Sword is a piercing sword, by far.
Use the Voltedge on Constructs, Undead, and Slimes, while you use a piercing sword on Beasts, Fiends, and Gremlins.
Your fourth weapon could either be a Shadow sword or another gun/bomb of your choosing. If you're going to use the Polaris, you could swap out the Voltedge for another Elemental Sword such as the Divine Avenger or Combuster, or you could rely solely on the Polaris for a source of Elemental Damage and get a Shadow/Piercing sword combo.
Fiendishknight thanks for the info but instead of a Polaris would a Supernova work?
There is no reason to get a Supernova instead of a Polaris. Polaris is weak to Gremlins and Beasts. Those mobs can't be dealt with a Supernova anyway, because they dodge as hell.
So well, Supernova would work, but clearly be sub-optimal.
if you are going to be a swordman, an all-around normal gun is fine. I'd still choose polaris because it deals elemental, wich works great against most turrets (your worst ranged enemy), plus it has shock.
Eeyup the best friend for a swordmaster is a polaris becouse the only thing to worry about are the things you cant hit (90% of the times = distant turrets) so polaris is great becouse is a turret slaugther
I am going to buy a Brandish Recipe and make one, next I'm going to get a Wolver coat and Cap recipe and craft those, after I am going to fight Mr. Snarby 3-4 time and get a Bristling Buckler, Next a Flourish then either a Freezing Vaporizer or craft another brandish to get Nightblade, finally Upgrade to Dusker cap and coat, Shockburst Brandish, Twisted Targe, Nightblade or Freezing Vaporizer MKII (again help me on this its very appreciated!) To go fight Rormulas Twins to get pulsar and upgrade that to Killowat Pulsar. Is this a good plan or is it horrible or is it completely a waste of time,Please help?!?!
Shadow damage is pretty whatever, to be honest. The Leviathan Charge attack is probably the best charge attack to use on frozen monsters, so I just use that with a Barbarous Thorn Blade and Combuster.
No this is not a good plan.
You should buy 2* items at the AH directly instead of crafting them, it's cheaper.
To go to the twins, the bristling buckler is not a good shield, it will get you destroyed. Get an owlite instead.
The Flourish is not that useful for the twins either, construct resist piercing.
Upgrade your weapons first (or shield if it breaks to fast, it's situational), shield second, and armor last. Except when changing resist type/ having bonus, it's not worth upgrading armor first.
Freezing bomb is the best crowd control bomb, so the best for a swordsman, go for it! But you shouldn't do it right now, it's almost useless before 4*, because the radius is too small.
Vog with Barb Thorn Shield is a good combo for a swordmaster. The brandish line is also very popular due to its status charge attacks and special damage.
As for another sword, since you are set on an Elemental one you'll also want to get either Shadow or Piercing as you'll want something to use on Gremlins and Beasts, which resist Elemental. If you really enjoy the swords you mentioned then you'll love the Acheron... it has the same fighting style but is shadow instead. That would do bonus damage to Gremlins. Otherwise I'd recommend the Barb Thorn Blade which does bonus damage to Beasts but also works great on Gemlins due to its knockback and knockdown.
Eventually you'll want all three damage types, but that will require an extra weapon slot so might take some time to save up the energy.
