Turned off my music.
Put effects sounds to maximum
Go to Candlestck keep...T3.
Party is wiped except me.
When I killed the last Kat in the room, its dying sound was silent/did not play.
The Candle went out half a second after it died.
Did I mention I was alone in my living room with nothing else on when this happenned?

Some turn based RPG, it's just vaguely in my head, had some death animation with a horrible noise, and you fought the stupid things all the time.
There are tons of MMO sounds/death stuff or item noises that people hate and will never, ever, ever, EVER forget...

Seriously, I have not encountered a video game character/enemy death sound that was totally unnerving.
OH HERE! Not exactly a video game death, but I remembered I was totally scared when I was playing Jeopardy on MS-DOS and suddenly the Possessed Virus triggers, displaying a troll face while hanging up the game in the middle of a beep, making a loud noise.

But I never felt sorry for the Kats.....I always feel sorry for having to kill the Love Puppies though. =(

Anyway, the Kats do make a sad sound in tiers one and two. Kinda makes me feel bad, but not as bad as killing a Mewkat. Those things don't even fight back.
But tier three Kats. Theie deaths are creepy. The first time I heard it, I jumped.
