I think that the freeze ability of the triglav, jalovec and grintovec should be increased in percent chance to afflict. It is a very slow sword but the chance of applying freeeze is slight. On the other hand, the brandish line like Combuster and Glacius have a higher chance of inflicting their status while having a faster attack rate. I just think that a slower sword should have a higher chance of applying a status than a faster sword that can dish out more strikes.

The tooltips are misleading

The tooltips are misleading. The Brandish lines (including Combuster and Glacius) have ZERO chance to inflict a status effect with their faster regular attacks--they only cause statuses with their charge attacks, where attack speed really doesn't matter.

The Faust and (according to wiki) Triglav lines can inflict statuses with their charge attacks AND with the second swing of their basic combos.

I don't know whether the Triglav line should inflict freeze more often, but while you would think the Glacius gets more chances to inflict freeze based on their respective tooltips, it actually gets less.

ignoring the tooltips

the glacius has a useful and fairly powerful charge attack and an almost guaranteed status infliction, i probably use my combuster's (same thing just fire based) charge as much if not more than the regular attack because its useful

my jalovec on the other hand, i have seen it freeze all of twice, and nobody will ever use its charge (because its a troika line weapon and is ridiculously horrible)

so im all for increasing the triglav line's freezing chance, or giving the troika line a useful charge attack so that it can actually be used, that would work too

The Brandish explosions are

The Brandish explosions are similar to the Retrode's beam attack, and actually have high reliability with the status effects. Another thing you have to take into account is that the chances are calculated per target, and that the heavy swords are capable of striking several targets with its basic attack. The lower chance on the Triglav is to make up for the latter fact, and chances are increased on charge attacks.

multiple targets

shouldnt really come into it at all, your right starlinvf - it probably does because your logic makes sense, but brandish line charges (aside from being actually usable) can hit a lot of targets, 3-4(possibly 5) from the swing itself(so one chance to freeze each target just there) and then at least 1, usually 2 with 5* swords, explosion(s) that travel forwards hitting those monsters in front of the knight with low damage but good(if not great) chance of inflicting status

and nobody uses troika line charge attacks against multiple opponents - thats just asking for trouble

Still i find the freeze chance too low on triglav line weapons, it could be removed altogether and i doubt many triglav users would even notice to begin with

Triglav's freeze chance (on

Triglav's freeze chance (on the second hit) is actually a penalty. That weapon rarely interrupts monsters' attacks, and if they get frozen, they don't get knocked back. You get hit & die. There usually isn't enough time to put your shield up before they strike.

Charge and second strike

I've used the second strike and charge often in Firestorm Citadel, and the freeze effect helps pin enemies when it does happen, but if it doesn't give them that stun/knockdown effect after the big hit, I get horribly mauled. Maybe the time between the strike/hit and shield up should be slightly reduced, or maybe give like half a second of invulnerability. Well, that slight speed increase of shielding may be better with just the second strike. The charge should be the one with that fraction of invulnerability. Like, for Triglav, when the ice juts from the ground, maybe make an effect where you get ice spikes forming around your body, which would look like it shields the player for that fraction of a second so it would make the temporary invulnerability more logical.
