Just tell how much you have purchased :D
I have purchased around 8,000 energy.
Since the guys at three rings are doing SOO well with their game.

$20, in order to get two pieces of Regalia.
I wanted to support the game, and at the time, I needed to make the jump between 4* and 5* gear.
i spent about 50$ on ce (i really want OOO to get the money they need)
$0 buuuuuuuut I introduced this game to several of my online friends who have combined put probably at least $500 if not $1000 into the game so uh I'll count their cut as my contribution >.>
EDIT: I'm also glad they helped support the game and are waaaaaaay better than me now lol
$0.25 (or something like that), which was the minimum when I started... at that time I was hoping my GF would play too, on the same computer, and thus needed to have a paid account. She didn't even try the game, but, well...
$20 bucks so far, allowed me to get two accounts up and running, and cut down on a lot of grinding for the second one.
Although, with school back in session, I barely have time to play on one account.
Don't regret the purchase though. Having CE is pretty sweet.
Didn't spend one single cent and got almost a 4* armour set
I think so far about 50K
A good amount of it goes to just donating to others, or reviving.
0 $. Would you believe I've crafted over 4 different 5* items and 12 different 4* ones though? Not joking.
LMFAO Njthug spending 0 $.
$0.
I've unlocked most of the achievements (including Dauntless Delver). The only ones I have left are getting 10 items in each of my arsenal (which I've probably would've achieved already if I spent $20 in Spiral Knights).
Zero. (though I do feel guilty of not spending any)
About 80 bucks? I was a new player and TOTALLY wasted the first large amount, and also have a lot of experience in RPGs and games similar to this so I wanted to do more challenging content. If I didn't I may have quit from lack of interest.
I blew like 1800CE on unbinding a Rock Jelly Band -.- (It was my first large action toward "self-sustaining" as I thought it would profit... IRONY! Sold for 25-50kCR eventually, instead of the 100-200k CR I thought it would XD)
And plenty more crafting stuff I don't and will never use lol.
Then I bought another batch of CE that I used correctly and intelligently... kinda >.>
I'm not certain of exactly how much energy I've gained through purchasing, but I do know I've spent about 50 bucks on the game so far.
Hey, sometimes I don't feel like spending a week grinding for enough energy to craft a 5 star weapon. No spending ridiculous amounts on lockbox keys and random UVs, well, those are reserved for when I have nothing else to spend it on.
$220 so far. You can call me an item collector, if you will.
I purchased 75 cents worth of energy so I could have 2 accounts with seperate mist tanks. I plan on spending atleast 10 dollars next time there is a costume promo to support OOO.
I've spent about... $10 or so. Actually a little less than that. Like, around $9.84, or something. I recall I was annoyed that I couldn't get on the test server because I bought the energy separately, rather than all at once. XD
I bought the promo for 3500 Energy(Was it that much? I'm not too sure, kinda forgot. =/) and a piece of Rose Regalia costume. So $10.
I did it cause i thought the costume would look cool, as well as I felt that the least Three Rings deserve is at least $10. Then I saw that the hat looked lamed, sold it at the AH, made some crowns, then went on crafting spree to get myself to T3.(Still 4*, but at least I'm closer now, and then I was several months ago in playing this game.)
I don't regret it at all. Heck, I might buy more.(A pretty big MIGHT, more like until they get another promo, or after a year. More or less.)
$25 All together .. all bought after I was full 4 star.
After having full 4* I decided to buy the starter pack.
Shivermist was my 1st 5 star wep I remember thinking to myself .. I can get shivermist in probably 3 days or I can get it now if I buy the starter pack.
the starer pack pretty much brought a lot of my 4 star to 5 star quite easily and quickly!
$0
Yet I have 10 pieces of 5* gear and four pieces of 4* gear, not to mention costumes and accessories. I just play the AH and search for good deals to
make my ce.
Too damn much for them to put out patch after patch that is incompatible with macbooks. I'm tired of them being to careless to test on a macbook. It's not hard. Get a macbook. Test your patches on it. If they don't work, don't release them. Ta Da. Competency.
What is that doing there?
With that said, I have spent $0 and I'm proud of it. I like the challenge of getting CE without using shortcuts.
(Maybe this is only a rational situation I've created in my mind to justify being broke. . .) Luuuuuuv the game though.
I think about $50, got myself a lot of 5* items, but I'm shy of buying more, although if an interesting promo pops-up, I'll definitely consider it.
$30
I had crafted my first two 5* items. I was getting so addicted that I started being late for my job so i simply bought the starter pack instead of the continual grind. Of course, 1600 worth of ce in rerolls was definitely low point of my wise ce usage. Then I had a always wanted "one of those" hats, so i bought the $10 promo but i got a tabard. Of course, not that i got my divine veil and valk mail, i much prefer that over the rose sets, so i'll be selling those.
I sold some rare and/or desirable cards from a previous hobby and rolled it straight into Spiral Knights. No regrets at all in terms of money spent. I have used a lot of it to sponsor other players and have purchased some nice gear for myself and my wife. There have been a few economic CE blunders along the way but that is sometimes the price of learning.
I really do love this game and am a long time fan of the Art Lead's work.
10500 ($30) to support the game. Starter pack, then another pack when I had a lot of fun in Lockdown for *free*.
Still got most of it too. A starter pack is all you need to buy a 5* set and win the entire game if you want to rush it :) I wish we could wear that shield as a cosmetic... would break immediately in a dungeon.
I like how some people say they feel better about not spending any money.
You don't spend any money, thats cool. I like the game, I spent money to play more DON'T HATE ME.
lol jk, yer all cool :3
ANYWAY
I spent quite a bit I suppose.
10$ when I was first starting off (I 3* items and I had some money to spend)
20$ for the rose regalia (Hey, i wanted energy, at least I got some nifty costumes with it)
10$ (I've still got the money to spend, and the 7000CE i got from selling a BTB started to go dry to help friends)
so 40$, yeah i took some shortcuts, but I am definitely not a lesser player.
Nothing and I've just about got all of the achievements, including atleast 2 5* helms, armours etc. If I bought energy the game would've been over before I knew it. Kinda pointless
you're either lying or insane. For 250 dollars you could get an entire CONSOLE, much less a single FREE game. Hell, I can't see how you'd ever need that much CE in a lifetime, even if you crafted every 5* in the game.
I was debating whether to purchase CE or not, but a friend of mine recommended it. I knew if I did purchase CE, I would buy in bulk.
So I bought the 20k CE pack for 50$.
While the CE certainly made things much easier, I feel a bit bad when people that didn't buy CE played long and hard to get their much deserved gear. Whereas I myself took a shortcut through the game early on.
I do enjoy this game so far, so I'm happy with my purchase to support OOO.
You clearly have not gotten into the world of UVs, let alone elite ones. 250$ is nothing, and I noticed not a single high roller has posted here with an amount (smart move) :)
I say waste as much you like, its your money use it as you like.... if peoples waste it on other Worthless MMO's or Crapy facebook games, why not use it on a game you love.... lats month i wasted in SK $100.00 bucks on Energy using Ultimate Game Cards that i buy in Gamestop and EBGames. this month should be the same more less $100.00 bucks more for energy =O) I Just Love this Game!! Grate Job Three Rings!!
money is only an object to those w/o jobs. And tell me, is any purchase in life TRULY worth it?? LOL i think not.
I have used no real money to buy CE. It is possible to get 5-star gear without spending money via crowns. Though it may take a long while, it should be worth it.
55$. I wanted to reward myself for something I did well IRL, so I spent some money on this game. Didn't last long though... after I rushed to 5*, I ended up gambling away most of it selling chunks and then UV rolling. UV rolling is wayyyy too addictive. I've been farming and trying to buy back a lot of what I spent and build up what should be a respectable arsenal... but whatever. I still have fun with the game so I'm not going to beat myself up too badly about it. If I went back, I'd still probably UV roll because just the chance of getting a UV VH shiver is worth it.
About $45, I think, on Starter Pack and Battle Pack. Might've bought more, but with the constant lag I get, I decided to not spend anymore until that changes.
50 Swiss Francs - what I would pay for any other game too.
Two battle royal's (one for me and another undeserving troll) and a 10 pack for a green tabbard.
This game is awesome and it keeps me off the booze and the shooting range....... what?
But seriously I love helping (and promoting) my guild and building my library.
With $50 you can buy 20k Ce, which lets you hit Punch's variant forge 60 times. According to the Wiki, chances on VH is 5%. So for $50 you get around 3 Very High Uv's, that's ANY VH, not specifically CTR or ASI.
Since the UV mechanic is some form of legalized gambling in a game where the minimum age is 13 (to accept the EULA), it can take a very long time and a small fortune to reach your best gear, and with many micro-payments and the addictiveness of the system it's very easy to keep going.
Like Eclecicmessiah said, the high rollers spend way, way more. Thousands even. I've seen screenshots of people carrying +100K energy ($250), walking around with several 5* sets already. Some can just afford it, maybe they help their friends/guild members by giving them Ce like Kilbride.
And why not? If you don't like going on vacation spend your money here instead, doing what you like. If you've seen the joy some players get by bragging about their many costume items, their DA with CTR AND ASI very high or being the best in lockdown (for which gear helps) I can certainly understand why they would want to. World of Warcraft players who are active since launch should have paid over $1000 in subscription fees by now.
I spent it for those limited Edition "forgot name" hats and beginner package, but at the end I auctioned them for crowns. Energy sure does burn away when making too many items :V
I usually get the bare minimum during promotions, like I used to when I was playing Puzzle Pirates, OOO's other game. Which is comparatively, a drop in the pond compared so most subscription/micro transaction other games cost.
Then again some days I only pop on to spend only mist energy, so I'm not as active as most players. :P
