OOO,
please give us one!!
That, my friend is the best 3 second video I have ever seen. Why? "I have no idea!" hehehehehehehehe
When is the SK regular maintenance period on your timezone? That's when their hotfixes usually happen.
There was no ETA on the Steam fix. What makes this different?
You have been most helpful in this thread and on this issue. However, i was actually asking OOO if they had an ETA on any fixes because i'd like to get back to playing the game. But if you have anything constructive to offer, feel free.
Patch was out today- their work day is done for the day; you probably won't get an ETA until tomorrow, if at all. They'll probably try and get it fixed ASAP, though! So, I'd guess... a day, maybe two. They'll probably get it done before the weekend at the latest, hopefully.
Be patient. Breathe. Pick up a good novel and start reading it. Play something else in the meantime.
I for one am not going to die because I can't play SK for a few days.
lalala, i am:
Reading Forest Mage by Robin Hobb.
Playing demon souls.
It's not the fact that i can't play sk that is bothering me. It is the fact i was in progress of working out several in-game business deals (accessories market) and not being able to log in has cost me a lot of ce in opportunity costs. Not to mention making me look flaky and unreliable to my sellers :(
@ Pawn
Quick fix: Through the forums, ask someone to contact said sellers.
Not much to go on, but then again there isn't much the average forum dwellers can do for you.
I'll have to check those out, always worth looking into something new.
Now to that, you have my condolences. Not much of a merchant myself, mostly a buyer of specific, rather expensive materials for Alchemy when I can't get what I need in the clockworks. Though I was very pleased to sell two iron lockboxes shortly after *that* update, for about 8x more than they go for now.
Hope something comes through quick for all our sakes'
are at an end as well :)
twyll, if you are a fan of fantasy fiction i have two must read series for you (altho you have likely already heard of or read them both)
George R.R. Martin's "Song of Ice and Fire"
clearly, this is considered the finest fantasy fiction work ever...EVAR..by most in the know. Such a dynamic, deep, gritty, epic, and completely realized work. 5 books so far, with 2 more to come. It is truly a masterpice.
Patrick Rothfuss' "Name of the Wind" (and second book in the trilogy "The Wise Man Fears")
Its been likened to harry potter for adults, altho i think that does not do the series, thus far, justice. He is a newer author but the Name of the wind is arguably my favorite book ever. I defy you to read it and not think it is wonderful. Its the only book i have ever purchased for other people, b/c i thought they must read it, and knew they wouldn't on their own impetus. and i have bought it for multiple people.
any books you'd recommend?
So that's why you confused me with Lord Haliax. It amused me because that's the only time someone has made a reference to something that wasn't Halifax upon reading my nick.
they newer fix your mac problem, like they newer fix my linux problem.. sad but true
I'm not really one in the know, and hardly even the now.. But, I will diligently be on the lookout for those series'.
Books that I would recommend, as fantasy fiction goes, I'd say Terry Brooks' High Druid of Shannara, I enjoyed it such that it nearly killed me when I learned the library didn't have book 3… With confidence, I say it's worth picking up. The only other work of Terry's I've read thus far is his novelization of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, which was pretty cool.
Non-fantasy, fiction books I recommend would be The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain, one of my all-time favorites.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six; though I got bogged down about half way and getting over that hill was slow going, it picked up speed fast and I traded a night's sleep for the conclusion.
Louis L'Amour; of the many, many novels he wrote I have only read Sackett's Land and Sitka, both of which I think are excellent and recommend giving a read.
And anyone who hasn't read the Harry Potter series (there are a few out there), to do so.
lord of the rings is the best fantasy novel series out there.nough said.(even if at first they are a little hard to get into)
Pawn seems to think that the every time he posts on this subject a mechanical bullwhip is activated that lashes the devs across the backs to hurry them up on the fix.
I subscribe to belief that every time he does it a bell rings in their office indicating it is time to take another 15 minute coffee break.
I cut my teeth on Terry Brooks as a youngun (in junior high). I've read every book in his shannara series at least twice, but probably closer to three times. I've also read all but the most recent in the Landover series (more whimsical and not as good) and his Running with the Demon series (darker and also not as good).
However, i wasn't a big fan of his most recent stuff, as it appears he has became ever increasingly cookie-cutter and systematic in his writing process. Which i suppose is understandable as you churn out 1 book per year for 30+ yrs. anywho.
I really should expand my reading horizons beyond just fantasy fiction. Next time i pick up a book i'll take a look at those.
oh , i just got back to my normal life for 1 day ?
An orange is an orange.
I'd say Terry Brooks' High Druid of Shannara, I enjoyed it such that it nearly killed me when I learned the library didn't have book 3 - Twyll
I loved that game!!! Too bad I always mess up about 2 hours into it, and kept dying in the exact same battle...... In fact, I still think I have the box and CD somewhere around here.
Looks like there's a fix in about 40 minutes. I'd assume that's your fix guys.
