Hey there. The Spiral Knights forums is not meant for people to be rude to another person just because he is scared of a place in the game or some other reason. If you guys have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. In fact I bet you guys have been picked on once in your life too. Think about it this way have you been teased for the things you have done? People should really be nicer on the internet and just about anywhere. Sure people have gotten me down and now I just want to get everyone to be a little nicer. I mean c'mon people. Seriously it's not cool.

I don't really know if i'm breaking the rules of the forums on here. I mean if I get banned I get banned ya know. Just saying that internet harm commercials on television had an impact on me in a good way. This and all the stuff that's gone on in my life have gotten up to the point where i'm ready to change my life for the better. I'm ready to help people one step at a time.

Most comments seem to get, at most, two pages, if even. I have seen at least 50 threads go down with no comments because of focus with one thread
I have only seen one thread get up to four pages. At this time, when we don't have a hilarious amount of forum users, or a massive index of rules and protocals...
I would take any comment on a thread of mine, even a trolls.

Well this raging and flaming has been going on in the game too. People have been using chat (well the ones I randomly joined) to call people names and to just beg to get revived when I told them I don't really have health to give to them (I was down to half a bar before dying). Altough I did CE revive everyone only one time (cause it was 60 to rev everone). But still the leader kept spamming chat for me to rev. I don't want people to get offended but it does happen sometimes.

Unfortunately, like many have said, you-know-what happens. Regardless of how professional your forum may be (and trust me, I know), there are always one or two people that just plain get on your nerves. In most cases, there's definitely more than a handful of them.
Perhaps some people are immature; some are selfish. Regardless, I'm just wishing that they'd wisen up sooner or later, and realize that this will not do.

You're way too naive if you think this thread is going to make people start being nicer.
The people who are "being mean" are likely people who frankly do not give a **** about you or your "fun". This request is not going to get through to them. Being mean isn't something you just decide to do on a whim. "Oh, I guess I'll be rude for the next few weeks." It's a result of a personality/mindset. It's just how that person deals with people, and a lot of people don't feel like sugar-coating their feelings when it comes to dealing with other internet randoms.
So what should you do if someone is being mean to you? Either learn to deal with it or leave.
If you don't want to play with "mean" people at all, I suggest you find a nice guild and play exclusively with them.
Otherwise, well.. Grow up; because an entire community of randoms sure as hell isn't going to change how they present themselves just for your sake.

Hm... A conundrum indeed...
I myself am sick of jerks and people who say and do distasteful things. Tazurin is right though in that this thread probably isn't going to change much in this community or anywhere else. Yes, some people are just trying to have fun playing a game and such, but some people get impatient, lose their tempers, come from backgrounds in which it seems perfectly fine to trashtalk others and say potentially offensive things, or who knows what else is going on in their lives. They may or may not care a dime about the content of this thread. I try to understand myself in my day to day life wondering whether sugarcoating/manners/smiling when I don't feel those is right. I feel like a hypocritical liar to those around me. On the other hand, just letting what comes in my mind out is wrong as I've little right to spoil others' days just because of what goes on in me. *sigh* Still searching for answers. For now I'll just try to be as helpful and respectful (not like snob polite) as I can to those around me regardless of how they act or how I feel. If I can't control myself, I'll just stop playing and settle my problems. I encourage those who care to read this to do similarly. Or just do the best you can! Have fun all.

Yes I know this thread is kind of silly and won't make people stop but isin't this thread good enough for people to just read it? I'm not asking people to really change their attitudes or anything just a better understanding of kindness and what it can do for people. It is true that a random can't change peoples outlooks on life and I'm just willing to take a chance.

Unfortunately, this is honestly how it is. Both in real life and forums. There's always going to be jerks, rude people, elitists, ect. There really isn't much that can be done about it.(Well, we could have more stricter rules about flames and stuff...but then some regular forum goers will start complaining...so...) It be nice, really, but as my teacher once said, "There's always at least one in every crowd." meaning, there's always going to be someone that ruins fun for everyone else.
In my honest opinion, there is more good than bad on these forums. Probably more bad now, but still not completely overshadowing the good. But that's just me, and I'm far from a saint/(insert your idea of a 100% nice guy here.).
