i have played spiral knights for a couple of weeks now and i dont know if the makers read the forums but i have some ideas for the game...

clockwork weapons: need energy to work eg: minigun, flamethrower*, mega sword
dual weapons: second weapon takes shields place eg: dual guns, dual swords
two handed weapons: takesup two weapon slots eg: mega sword, minigun
ablitys**: in a ablity slot eg: tame monsters***, run and attack faster, healing teammates and/or self

contact me if you read this hope you like the ideas:)

*guessing that energy is blue so flames are blue
**ablitys take up energy to use
***get to keep monsters intill you tame a new one

clockwork weapons for energy have got to be turret like in order to work

dual weapon/two handed has been discussed time and time again the consensus is that it's a bad idea to replace something as vital as a shield

abilities that uses energy are evil. taming monsters is just dumb i don't want AI to screw up the group's efforts

Dual-swords is debatable. Perhaps make it a slot-thing. It may cost people energy, but it weeds out the irresponsible from the responsible. To a point, at least.

Two handed weapons would be rediculous. Ideally, they'd be slower than the SS/Troika lines, and thehn they'd just be plain useless.

Healing would really, really mess this game up. It's not a class system game, it's a gear-based game. If you want abilities, go to Lockdown.

I agree, no AI please. There's a reason they cap parties at 4.
