this would be great, but probably harder than they'd want to bother implementing. When they introduced the game for steam, us Download Clienters (I'm just going to call us DCs here), couldn't use the steam version. A short while later after some complaints, they did come up with a way to allow the DCs to connect to steam...at the cost of giving up their DC ability. They had to stay steam forever. I'd imagine a similar issue arises from steam to kongregate and so on.
