Seriosly Three Rings: Make it happen. This game has the perfect format for a quest system. Hope you guys implement one in the future.

Already exists.

It's the Current Objective you see under your map. There's not many, but they give you things you really want: Mist Tanks.

I think a quest system would

I think a quest system would work in the form of materials -> mist energy. This could stimulate the economy by creating more demand for materials, and if mist energy is the reward (in temporary tank form) there's no effective cash grind scheme. A questing system with goals independent from the economy will result in inflation. If the reward is crowns, we'd see crown inflation. If the reward is ce, we'd see ce inflation. If the reward is mist energy that must be used same day, there's little threat to the energy market and the materials market could perk up.

It's really not that good.

It's really not that good. What I had in mind was more variety of quests, different objectives and prizes like unique recipes/materials/items in general.

For example: Kill X Green Slimes could give you a lv 1 recipe.

If that is going to happen,

If that is going to happen, avoid the fedex quests (Kill X amount of badies)! Instead I would like to see some more puzzle quests. The puzzles in the dungeons so far are super baby easy for me!

I wouldn't mind seeing more

I wouldn't mind seeing more of a quest system here, probably obvious ones like killing Jelly King/ Varnaduke. Maybe some collection quests or finding someone at a certain level of clockworks. Could add a nice level of story and mythology to this game, and could be a good way to make the game more immersive while rewarding your deeds with Crowns, materials, gear, maybe even mist tanks or crystal energy

I'd rather die than see

I'd rather die than see another exclamation point in any game ever again.

Also, what the heck do all those npcs need with rat tails? DON'T YOU HAVE ENOUGH RAT TAILS?! TEN MILLION PEOPLE CAME BY AND GAVE YOU LIKE 50 A PIECE, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WITH THOSE?!

I second super hard puzzles, please. Think of LUFIA 2:rise of the sinistrals! Stuff like that, maddeningly good puzzles! :)

i think some sort of job /

i think some sort of job / quest system would be a decent addition. just some little things you can do for a few extra crowns or whatever. different challenges. something to help switch things up.

the town bazaar would be perfect for a bulletin board or something that players can obtain jobs/requests from.

extra ME -- dont see that happening as a reward.

but i think there is a good idea here, just needs to be fleshed out more. and yes, if possible, do something different so its not like every other MMO[RPG]/grindfest.

i dont like fetch quests, but i would still do them lol.

Sorry for digging this up. I

Sorry for digging this up. I don't want to make a new thread.

My quest system ideas :
- You recieve your quest by talking with NPC in Haven or subtowns. (Oh please, add more towns!)
- Some quest needs you to collect some material, some quest needs you to get a set amount of lifetime kill of specific monster. It could be more hard/complex like completing all gates in Arena-style map under 20 minutes, talking with another NPC in another subtown (Some of them will force player to choose a choice.), etc.

This will make people spend time thinking about mineral before he-she press the autosell button. And OOO will have another way to write in the story into Spiral Knights world.

I

I'm sorry I have to go against this but all questing in this game is really done in achievements. All questing does is give you rewards for it. Although If you got things for doing achievements then it would probably work.

Also I think that instead of items, mist tanks or recipes I think you should get special accessories for doing it, each one relating to the achievement of course, like a bomb crest for collecting a certain amount of bombs in your arsenal (one of the achievements) or a slimy crown for defeating the "Jelly King".
