Where am I supposed to aim if I want to maximize damage on a single mob? I know for normal shots you aim at your far right, but for charge shots it's pretty hit-or-miss for me right now.

Mostly concerned about Gun Puppies, since they're stationary and taking them out quickly is often life-or-death.

Oh, and in case it matters, I'm using a 5* alchemer.

i always use the same spot

i always use the same spot now because i have been using alchemers for so long; there are many monsters missing their left shoulder in the clockworks.
with a charged shot, the 4 ricochets come out at predictable angles, so you can hit them in a way that attempts to get one of those ricochets to cross through the body of your target.
i just go ahead and hit the left shoulder if i can, but i have seen ricochets connect from all sorts of angles.
it seems easier to land internal ricochets with a charged shot.
it sucks to miss with it though, you could have landed 4-6 normal shots in the time it takes to miss a charged shot.

Well any ricochets are going

Well any ricochets are going to the left at a normal shot. So their left shoulder would be perfect yes. But with a charge there is it going left and right with 45° each. I noticed to shot directly in the middle (not in any shoulder) with a CHARGE attack against puppies or lubmers, then I get all the numbers. I think there is also a little bit of luck you should have :3
