Anyone else noticing that you can't stop enemies from attacking anymore?

I've noticed that before, I was able to stop enemies from attacking by using my Leviathan and hitting them with all 3 hits... Now I'm noticing that I can't anymore... it's like the enemies can attack faster or something... but 3 strike combos dont seem to have much effect like it used to... Only way for the 3 strike to stop them from attacking is by cornering them....

anyone else noticing that?

Sometimes weapons that don't have a boost against certain monsters like shadow and construct don't stop them from attacking
If you have a weapon that that monster can resist than its attacks won't be stopped
It better to use one with advantages

are you playing deeper?

Have you just started playing on Tier 2? Or just started Tier 3? The monsters are faster.

I haven't noticed any alteration to the behavior of the monsters.

the only stupid thing i

the only stupid thing i noticed lately is that slags in FSC bite no one in the air sometimes, making them even easier targets for my gun

When is this happening? Sometimes when you get towards the end of the tier, monster scaling gets to the point where you can't muster up enough damage on normal hits to flinch/knockdown the mob even with a full combo. Against the bigger monsters... yeah, you either need to be hitting weakness, have something like High+ damage bonus on them, or use a weapon specialized for knockdowns like the Spine Cone line.

I think the attack breaker is

I think the attack breaker is based on the percentage of the monster's HP you take with your combo.
My meager evidence:
In a solo party, I can keep a huge Lichen Colony in check by just mashing it with my Levi. Three hit combos, and each one stops its next attack.
In parties of two or more, sometimes the three hit combo isn't enough to break the attack, I'd need the support from my teammates.

So maybe you were just not doing enough damage at that specific time, that's all.

I've seen this.

My main strategy in FSC when solo is to charge up my glacius and interrupt/freeze/refreeze the slags with with charge attacks.

Now when I had 3 guildies join me, that suddenly wasn't working, those slags would still cut my face off even with a direct hit from the charge.

It's quite annoying, but I suppose it's to ramp up the difficulty.

You're probably just experiencing some lag. I use a Combuster with the +medium attack speed and I can still do what you speak of.

On that note, get the +medium attack speed trinket. It'll help with killing mobs before they can take a swing at you.
