5* items cost twice energy as 4* items cost and more than twice the recipe cost, plus 5* recipes can only be found at depth 23 while 4* recipes can be found at D23 and D13
so how much r 5* items better than 4* items? And is it best to get a good veraity of 4* items instead of getting a 5* set?

5* can change an armor

5* can change an armor entirely (Vog cub for example) and turn low bonuses to medium or make a weapon better (divine avenger charge).
I prefer to get the full bonuses of a 5* set I like set than get more 4* stuff I'll probably wont use.

yes of course u can except

yes of course u can except the bonuses armors or changing to an entierly new armor or better charges

im talking about items that their 4* and 5* r only different in the damage like strike needle and blitz needle, gigawatt and polaris, bliizbrand and glacius,......ect.
So is the extra 5* item damage/def worth it or is it better go craft an other item up to 4*?

I already got a Skolver set, which is my only 5* items currently, i got 5 4* items, working on a strike needle, so i want to know if blitz is way better or i can do fine with strike on vana while working on other stuff and get 5{* items later

5* weaponry does more damage

5* weaponry does more damage than their 4* equivalent. 5* armor and shields tend to have more resistances / health, as well as better bonuses than their 4* equivalents.

It's pretty clear cut.

As far as plain weapon damage

As far as plain weapon damage goes, you'll never notice the difference until you're in T3. If you spend most of your time in T2, then the biggest difference will be with your shield first, then armor second (especially if it has certain damage buffs).

It's always better to have a

It's always better to have a 5* set, no question about it. If you simply do not wish to spend the Energy and Crowns to obtain one, consider saving up over time, or getting one piece of 5* at a time. But I can assure you that, in the end, it will be worth it.

Just as a motivational note: fully heated (Lv10/"Complete") 5* weapons can deal massive amounts of damage if used on the right mobs. For example, I tested a Lv10 Divine Avenger on the Retrodes in UIMF (solo) and it was able to take them out in 3 hits (one combo and one hit). As well, a Lv10 Fearless Brigadoon can slice through Darkfang Gremlins like butter.

Hmm

Armor and shields are always worthwhile to upgrade to 5*. These items get a huge boost to defense from 3* to 4* then again from 4* to 5*, not to mention the bonuses on these items.

Weapon damage, however, isn't changed much from 4* to 5* and is usually only noticeable in Strata 6 (Depths 24-28). Bombs become more useful at 5* due to their larger size. The Vortexes, in particular, are much more useful at 5* because of the improved suction. Alchemers get more ricochets at 5*. DA/GF get more powerful charge attacks at 5*.

There are lots of examples, but generally it isn't as important to reach 5* with your weapons as it is with your Armor/Shield.
