When getting off the elevator in cravat hall you can immediately go to the elevator down . When I did this I got a bonus item even though I had no heat does anyone know if this is a bug or exploit?

There's two ways you can view
There's two ways you can view it actually. Go in the elevator right off the bat, meaning you just wasted 10 energy to enter a level you didn't do, or actually do the level, killing monsters and collectiong loot.
You're just screwing yourself over if you take the elevator before doing the level, really.
Fun fact, that's actually one of the first levels I ever saw in Spiral Knights. Confused the hell out of me.

Its another risk/reward kind of deal. And the caravat hall is a rough level compared to other parts of the Scarlet Fortress.
Completely Intentional, the prize wheel will show up regardless of what you have gained that level.
