A Real Expansion?

Does anyone think SK will ever get a true expansion? I'm talking a butt-load of new weapons, clockworks floors, features, bosses, etc.

It would sure beat these minor content patches. The biggest thing that we've gotten these past couple months is Lockdown.

Lets face it, I don't think anybody really likes that bomberman clone.

I liked Blast Network...

While it was fresh, it was quite funny to have a bomberman homage in the game.

I love Blast Network, i don't know how could someone hate it; compared to Lockdown its actually balanced and not so much latency-driven. Lockdown should be renamed to Letdown honestly.

New levels in the works

I keep hearing rumors of upcoming Wildwoods on steroids levels.

Candlestick Keep is not to be entirely dismissed. New content keeps coming. It's never a huge glut at once but it is consistent.

You can not blow off all the small updates and additions that have been put into effect since release (all of 6 months ago). I started playing near the end of the month of release, since then the following has been added:

Sword update: added Flourish line (prior to this there were no Piercing swords), Brandish line got upped to 5*
Snarby added: Boss, new sword, bomb, and shield lines
Twins added: Boss, new bomb, armor, and gun lines
Vana updates: most notable Blackened Crest added to token rewards
UV/Unbind shops
Double and Triple UVs possible
Accessories
Blast Network and Lockdown: PvP, Bombheads, Troika and Brandish line expanded, new bomb line, and new trinkets
AH added
Candlestick keep
2 new enemy types: Howlitzers and Polyps (3 if you include the Grimalkins)

All that kind of does equal out to an expansion, just implemented slowly over a longer time frame instead of completing part and holding it until they want to do a major expansion update.

I love Blast Network too,

I love Blast Network too, personally.

What Gwenyvier said is true. For a six month old game, we had many updates, everything divided into minor patches. Dividing patches like that makes testing and user update easier (I'm not sure, but maybe for development and well), so we had a "expansion".

what do you mean by expansion? it depends on whether you want an actual haven expansion (like a bigger haven) or more weapons, gears, levels, bosses, etc. please specify what exactly you want?

There shouldn't have been reboots shortly after big releases due to bugs released along with the content updates.

Ok, I may had made some math

Ok, I may had made some math mistakes, but generally I believe that resume below is more or less correct.

At the moment of release we got seven 5 rank swords (Leviathan, Cold Iron Vanquisher, Dread Venom Striker, Wild Hunting Blade, Gran Faust, Divine Avenger and Fang of Vog). There also have been three 4 rank swords (Cold Iron Vanguisher, Winmillion and Kamarin). Total ten 3 Tier swords.

Now, after only half a year, we got fifteen 5 rank swords and two 3 rank swords. Total seventeen 3 Tier sword.

RESUME:
Number of 5 rank swords more then doubled (7 vs 15).
Number of 3 Tier swords almost doubled (10 vs 17).

Now handguns. At the moment of release we got eleven 5 rank hanguns. Now, after only half a year, we got sixteen 5 rank hanguns. Not as good as with swords but still our hanguns arsenal expanded by about 50%.

Likewise with bombs. At the moment of release we got seven 5 rank bombs. Now, after only half a year, we got eleven 5 rank hanguns. Our bombs arsenal expanded by about 50%.

After all, this thread seems like a failure. At least a part about not having "butt-load of new weapons".

the op clearly stated what s/he was thinking about

@op - if you have played any other (free) mmo games i.e Rappelz you will know that some gamers wait a LOT longer for a LOT less.

Unlikely...

I somehow doubt we'll see 7* weapons or Tier 4 at all. We may just get more bosses until each of the 6 monster types has its own boss, but then it would be likely that each gate would as well, and we'd have 6 open gates, in which case the rotations would have to be not bi-daily but sesqui-daily (1.5 days) to keep a gate's lifetime constant.

you obviously have no idea what you are talking about, there are always unforseen bugs after game updates in all mmos, and three rings have been VERY good at fixing them.
