The public opinion about people who use bots and those who made the bots?

This is a thread to discuss your feelings about those who use bots. This is a personal opinion of mine; there is no real point to people using bots in games; the bots are playing the game for you; if everyone used bots in all games (a little extreme of an example, I know) there would be no real players anymore; only bots; a dystopia of video games in my opinion. Yep, video games; serious business. I want the discussion to be respectful; no hateful comments; no trolling. I will get an admin or something on you if you do (I don't really know how to yet, I guess just pm them or something?).

I apologize. I didn't have any idea this was a breaking of rules. Will have to be much more vague in the future with no definite leads to anything of the nature. Double apologies to those offended.

You posted a link to a Spiral Knights exploiting site, and yet you actually expect us to have a respectful conversation about it while threatening us with admins when you are the one who broke the rules?

i dont know why some1 would want to use a bot in spiral knights
my opinion highly depends on the mmo's, it would greatly differ depending on the mmo, of course given the fact ive played the game, which i talk about

some tasks in some games r repetitive and a big group of people dislikes those tasks, because that group doesnt feel any joy doing them for a long period of time, which destroys the whole point of the game
on the other hand things are designed to be challenging in some way, so good players could deserve what they work for. however the little group of players, that does enjoy the challenges, has a severe advantage over the other group of players. in the end it might be a question of whether to bother putting effort into setting up a decent bot, macro or w.e or simply leaving the game due to lack of joy, which doesnt make the whole situation better(bigger playerbase including botters and regular players vs. smaller playerbase of regular players)
another point id like to mention is, that i wouldnt care if other people used bots and/or hacks as long as i wasnt aware of it, but then again in an MMO, not every1 remains silent about things, which is understandable..why deny the facts? and once the word is spread..a good amount of people wouldnt hesitate to report illegal activity, especially if it appears to be unfair. if those people end up performing the same activity, the whole thing gets shared way too much

The "bot" in the site the OP
The "bot" in the site the OP linked probably just logged the person's username and password and sent it back to whoever made it. I highly doubt the OP actually wanted to have a discussion, more likely it was just a cover to get the link for the keylogger/bot out there so they can make money hacking people's Spiral Knights accounts. So if anyone actually went to the site and downloaded whatever they got on there I suggest deleting it and promptly changing your password.
