The recipe to make an Ascended Calibur calls for a Tempered Calibur (TC) lvl 5+. Does it matter if the Tempered Calibur is lvl 10? Are the end stats for the Acsended Calibur exactly the same for a lvl 5 (TC) in the recipe as a lvl 10? Any Bonus damage or anything for a higher lvl TC before transmuting?

the level 5+ TC is just an
the level 5+ TC is just an ingredient for the AC
it won't make any difference if you use a level 5 or level 10 TC
but just as a note.. leveling the weapon does add damage.
so there have been cases when people upgrade a level 10 weapon
and then do less damage with the higher star level 1 weapon, but when that new weapon levels to 10 as well.. it will always outperform the lower star weapon.

like Broxaim said, this is
like Broxaim said, this is just to bind the armor to you (you fill 5 lvls in 1 T1 run) and you can upgrade it to 4* (to upgrade this it needs to be lvl 10)
the stats for the ascended calibur will always be just as the recipe shows you so.. you don't get any higher stats by using a level 10 tempered calibur
