Hey I think I have finnaly found the perfect class for me. I just want to hear if it looks good or if there are any glaring things in it that I might have missed.

The main thing about the class is the weapons so I will start with that.

An avenger and faust. And a ash of agni and shivermist buster.

As for armor I will change that based on the stratum (usually ones that focus on status affects).
The sets I have right now are; elemental set, ashtail, scary skelly, jelly, demo... and I have a three star plate shield

used to be me

I used to play with Divine Avenger, Gran Faust, and Shivermist Buster always. (Of course, you're adding Ash of Agni, which is nice.) It worked well, so I was happy. The only difficult monsters for me were fiends and beasts. On Tier 3, fiends are a bit fast for DA and wolvers are a bit fast for GF. So I tried a piercing sword, and that was a revelation --- it just destroys fiends and beasts. So your setup is nice, but I strongly encourage you to try piercing (Barbarous Thorn Blade, Final Flourish, Callahan, Blitz Needle, etc.) sometime.

I have a barbarous thorn

I have a barbarous thorn blade and I admit its awesome against fiends and beasts. So ur saying I should switch out my faust or avenger with it depending on the stratum?

I was kinda thinking I could make due with burning wolvers and freezing fiends with my bombs. Or is this a bad idea?

right

Right. Someone who plays with two swords (and no other weapons) should own a piercing sword, an elemental sword, and a shadow sword. Before entering a stratum, he should select which two of these to carry, based on the gate map. The same advice is true for guns. It doesn't really hold for bombs, though. Anyway, this describes you, except that you happen to have two nice bombs along for the ride.

Beasts resist elemental damage, so your bomb blasts themselves won't do much damage. Someone can correct me, but beasts probably don't resist the damage from fire, unless they are the fire-themed versions of wolver/chromalisk. So maybe you can use your fire bomb on them effectively. Regarding fiends, freezing them and then using DA works well. But if you play in random parties, get ready to have your teammates unfreeze at the most inconvenient times. ;)

Switch out the Ash of Agni or

Switch out the Ash of Agni or the Shivermist Buster for a piercing sword, depending on the stratum. If it's Ice or Fire, it's a no-brainer, otherwise decide based on other factors, for example, undead are better dealt with through fire, and fiends are better handled with ice.

I'll definetly keep using my

I'll definetly keep using my barbarous thorn blade but... I'am not into the idea of only bringing only one of my bombs with me. The reason being sometimes I find it better to do damage, and other times crowd control regardless of the stratum (of course this isnt true for firestorm citadel for that I would probably have to use a shock bomb instead of fire). Like if there is a narrow corridor or things like fiends.
Ya its really annoying when people break the ice. But around corridors it works nicely because when they hit the enimies with a charge, the mobs come right back to get frozen. Once I'am done upgrading my ice bomb i guess it will be like this even without corridors because the area of the bomb is so big.

I use my ash of agni when there are alot of enimies like in arenas or danger rooms.

I just dont see myself bringing only one bomb with me :/

Going back on what Bopp said ya beasts dont resist damage from fire, they actually die pretty quickly to it.

I say own the Thorn Blade,

I say own the Thorn Blade, GF, and DA, but bring two at a time.

There's no point in bringing the GF to a place full of the undead.

There's no point in bringing the Thorn Blade when you're tackling the Jelly King.

The DA is always useful though.

okay, now about armor

Well, your weapons are well under control.

I don't understand all of your armor ("elemental set"?), but basically as a sworder/bomber you'll want Vog Cub, Skolver, and one of the Demo lines. Skelly can serve as shadow armor when you want it, although Deadshot is preferable, I think. Consider also Divine Veil. In any event, your armor is under control. Forget about the Jelly sets.

For shields, Volcanic Plate Shield is well-regarded for FSC. Consider also Grey Owlite (elemental and statuses), Barbarous Thorn Shield (piercing and sword), and Crest of Almire (shadow and fire).

DA always useful?

Fiendishknight, DA is not very useful on a beast-themed or gremlin-themed stratum. Tbigsby, on such a stratum I would take the other two swords.

Hmm

@Bopp - Elemental Set, probably referring to the 3* Elemental Cloak and Hood.

@OP - Might want to check out the Hybrid Bomber option if you do Sword/Bomb, which is what I use 90% of the time:
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Bombing_Guide#Armor
And I agree with getting three swords but then carrying two at a time.

@Ninjere - Skelly is very situational, it is incredible for Undead and Fiend Strata (as long as they aren't fire!) but that is about it. The saddest thing is that Firestorm Citadel is Undead themed but full of Fire so Skelly is not recommended for the endgame boss due to its flammability. If you are trying to diversify your defenses try Divine Veil with Skolver Coat.

The relevant shields I have

The relevant shields I have right now are Grey owlite, Heavy plate shield, Dark thorn shield, Skelly shield; I do want to get the crest of almire sometime though it would be much better for shadow stratas.

For elemental I like the idea of a hybrid bomber. I guess I could pair that with vog armor, that way I dont miss out on any fire status resist and I still get a good offensive bonus.

I just looked on the wiki and the fallen set looks like its better than skelly, it actually has fire resist and no weaknesses. Although I will have to wear a costume so that I dont look like a girl :P

I was kinda thinking about your suggestion concerning divine... the only problems I have from elemental and shadow are the ranged attacks. Retrodes, gunpuppies, phantoms, devilites, greavers... all of which are pure damage types. Usually I would condem the divineset because of no normal defense, but then again I rarely get hit by the mixed meele attacks. So I guess its perfect for ranged attacks that I have trouble with. Maybe divine set could replace both my elemental and shadow set? Or is it bad considering that all monsters in the game that can use meele attacks have normal damage.

Ya skolver will definetly be my piercing armor now that jelly seems to be useless in comparison.

Divine Veil

Tbigsby, a lot of people are put off by the lack of normal protection on Divine Veil. But consider the status protections (fire, shock, and curse) and the offensive bonus (fiends medium). When paired with something like Skolver Coat, Divine Veil can make for an awesome general-purpose set.

But I agree that by the time you have multiple specialized sets of armor, you may not use Divine Veil much.

Ya I agree. With the new

Ya I agree. With the new update out I guess I'll go for vog, skolver and snarby sets for armor.
