I had a GF at level 10 and
I had a GF at level 10 and sold it, then I got a new Faust and noticed it seemed to have shorter charge time. I just upgraded it and the new GF is sloooow, but I know it's only VH CTR (I have double trinkets).
Does anyone have both, or just a Faust and want to test it?

I've been using a Faust for a long while now, and I've never noticed it being any slower than the other heavy swords. But I've never had a GF, and my DA has a CTR bonus. So I dunno, but I don't think there's a difference.

Could be pretty broken i guess with MAX CTR and some curse UVs, they really need this sort of stuff on the weapon tooltips (along with meaningful damage bars)

I have read from various posts that the Faust is unique in that its charge time is in fact much shorter then the GF's. I think the GF's charge is slower to try to balance the massive damage it deals. I can't confirm this personally though.
What about Avenger vs Faust and Avenger vs DA? in terms of charge time? Seems like I remember reading about some people preferring the Faust to GF due to faster charge and less chance of self-curse.

I'm pretty sure DA, Avenger and Faust all have similar charge times.
But the GF charge time is almost double that of Faust at Level 10. This is because Strong Curse is crazy OP and they had to do something to avoid people spamming it continuously. When we are cursed, we can avoid killing ourselves but mobs have no choice but to commit suicide.
Just be sure you have 4 weapons/vials so that you have options once you are eventually cursed. Some curse resistance will help to decrease the time and number of weapons/vials, but is hardly necessary. Obtaining Max CTR from trinkets/UVs helps a lot with the charge time too.

But that doesn't make any sense.
Both Faust AND GF have a "fair" chance of causing strong curse.
From what I remember there isn't a very huge difference in proc rates between the two, and the projectile size/damage increase from ugrading is minimal.
As it is, I think the Faust is actually a better choice. (except GF looks soo much sexier..)

I'm keeping my Faust at 4*,
I'm keeping my Faust at 4*, for what it's worth. Once I farm another sealed, that one be upgraded all the way to a DA. If I get really bored I might craft a second Faust to make a GF, just for completeness, but that's way, way down the list.
I'd rather craft my silent nightblade to 5* for my main shadow weapon. I basically got the faust as a jelly mincer, and there's virtually no difference in damage between the Faust and GF in Stratum 4 (ie: royal jelly palace).

I tend to curse more mobs with the GF due to the much wider projectile, but thats really the only difference, curse wise
If you had max ctr it wouldnt be too bad i guess..but then the faust would still be much quicker
Is your GF lvl10 heat yet?...
