I am trying to decide if my Dread Venom Striker with Very High Attack Speed Increase is a useless UV or not. All i know is that something like Vog or a Trinket would make it so that Dread Venom Striker has "max" ASI alone, so am I right or wrong thinking that the DVS having VH ASI is a useless UV, considering I am heading for Vog as my armor.

its ultra then maximum isn't it? so vog would make it be maximum, though when i attack along side someone who has vog armor on(not including the cap) they attack at the same speed as me with a ordinary cutter/striker. I don't have vog yet and when attacking along side other striker weaps it doesn't seem to be at all faster. I am just wondering if the SPEED bar in a weaps list is its actual cap making it so that I can't attack any faster after that, if so then my UV is indeed useless.

i believe
that the bars have been upgraded to show accurate stats. thus a max fire Vog coat is no better vs fire than a no UV vog. same with owlites. (this has been tested with armors). Thus the DVS has a full bar of speed with no UV, so it stands to reason that any ASI bonus to it is moot.

It is untested. Because nobody ever bothers to test it for some reason, and it's an old question.
Some dev once said months ago [citation needed] that there is a hard cap for weapon aspd, but that's all I know.
I would test this myself but I lack a vog+fallen piece.
Maybe I should cook up some trinkets.

I have a Dread Venom Striker
I have a Dread Venom Striker with Attack Speed Increase: Very High, and I love it. The damage per second is amazing with it. That said, I wouldn't pay to get one with this specific UV (I got it from Punch, on the first roll), because you can just throw on Vog Cub armor and an Elite Quickstrike Module to max out your ASI. If you want it maxed, but don't want to use the trinket, you can just get one with Medium. Or you can use the same UV with two of the trinkets to get the same ASI without having to wear Vog Cub. Also, I assure you that the Cutter line can attack faster with the ASI, though you WILL have to click rather fervently to fully utilize the speed. Don't bother looking at the length of the bars, they lie. The tl;dr of this is that anything above ASI: Medium is useless if you're wearing full Vog Cub.

The only way to find out is
The only way to find out is to do full combos as fast as possible during one or two minutes, and coutn how many you did. Then compare to the weapon without asi. Youll see how much it improves it. Then to get more analytical youd have to do video analysis, but start with the simple test.

I tested along side with
I tested along side with someone who had vog+trinkets with a medium asi striker(not vile or dead). they actually attacked faster than I did so it is safe to say that the speed bar is a lie, and that if I did get vog I would indeed attack faster. thanks for the advise everyone
Strikers with more speed = more profit from jelly kings
Using that kind of weapon on jelly kings can help newbies. I suggest you use it to deal fast poison damage.
