So I'm sure everyone has looked on the front page and seen the image for the "Shadows Fall Over Cradle" update. And I'm sure I'm not the only one that noticed the Core in the background there.

Thoughts?

I'll admit I haven't checked the other new Shadow Lair topics, so maybe this is older than ancient and I'm the only one still in the dark about this whole business. Or maybe that picture means nothing, who knows.

But it's something to think about, I guess.

Hmm..

Im thinking this is progress to the opening of the core. Could it be? The depth areas of the core?

I want to think it's the core, but I'm not entirely sure....maybe there will be just a little glimpse into the Core.

I'm going to paraphrase something I heard before: "If the core is opened, players will think that it's the end of the game, and after that's completed, there won't be anything left to do in Spiral Knights."

Unknown Passage. Basically a taste of the core from what 000 is leading us to believe.
