I kinda like how the sealed sword looks now, but your right it doesn't feel like a heavy sword should, maybe make the blade a tiny bit wider or something

I hate the way the new Sealed looks. It's just--shabby and ugly, not to mention it really, really don't look like a heavy sword.

Oh, I wish Three Rings would

Oh, I wish Three Rings would give a heads-up about this sort of thing so I know to look out for it. Aesthetically, at least, I prefer almost all other swords over Sealed lines and now want to give the DA and Faust another look to see if that has changed. If not for the forums, it could have taken me months to notice since I am not very visually oriented unless I am deliberately inspecting or looking for something. Thank you, Tsu-Tsu.

As for looking like a heavy sword, IMO the weird proportions make it easy to interpret any of the swords as anything from a short dagger to a claymore. The Piercing swords look like bizarre club/dirk mashups to me, and the Nightblade-Acheron line is a crazy Rorschach straddling Tanto, Tachi and... epic all-obsidian single-piece Macana, I guess? I like that ambiguity a lot.

Fun trivia: When looking up the spelling of "Macana," I found that the word has gained a new meaning. I meant to refer to the original stone-age weapon with arrayed obsidian blades, since it seemed a likely inspiration for the Nightblade. As for the new meaning? "Macana" is now used to refer to a type of nightstick. :D
