I've just discovered that in order to craft a snarbolax coat and helm, an ash tail set is required. I currently have an ash tail set and i would like to know if i can use this set and beat the rabid snarbolax and then craft myself a snarbolax coat/cap. I have a silent nightblade and avenger which i could upgrade to 5 star. I would also like a suggestion on what shield i should bring.
Shadow Lairs. (Rabid Snarbolax?) Possible to go with 4 star armor and 5 star shield and wep?

The new stratum is Poison, so
The new stratum is Poison, so be careful about taking hits, rather than dps.
also, ^ take a piercing blade. snarby blade will be fine.
also the Barbarous Thorn Shield [or lower *s] will probably your best bet. Might want to take a few friends along too.
the only main concern is keeping the Alphas away from your party. if you have a high knockback wep, like the Levi, than bring that. Also Fire would probably be quite helpful.

Furthermore, if you're not in all 5* gear already, regardless of whether the lair is beatable, you should not be paying to get into them.

Technically it'd possible to beat in protogear, but practically unless you've been walking around in full 5* for ages you won't have the experience to survive. The dungeons are meant for the best SK players and still regularly kills them. Check out the unknown passage on youtube. You'll have to pass that before you can craft. Contains spoilers obviously.
well first of all, snarbys weak to piercing, so take a barb thorn blade with you
