SK Auction House - A Joke?

Hi,

I realised suddenly from the update that i can cancel my auction item on AH. That sets me thinking if this is really an auction?
Shouldnt it be when an item is on auction, the last owner is not supposed to recall it?

If so, then the auction house system in AH is a joke, isnt it?
Many ppl will bid but when the owner finds the price too low then he cancels the bid - I dont really see this in real life

Please do correct me if I am wrong in my claim.
i think we shouldnt teach others the wrong idea of auction in the game.

If you take out something

If you take out something from AH, you don't get the crown deposit refunded.
Plus many people complain about bid sniping.
Guess we can't make everyone happy.

Really? I know that before you couldn't cancel if there's a bid. Did they change that? Wonder if it's intentional. =|

Listing Fee

There is a listing fee for holding auctions. If one withdraws his/her auction, the listing fee is gone for good.

but i can still cancel my auctions

ah i see.. when someone bids on it then you can't cancel anymore

which is good.. cos i don't like people putting things on for 1 cr.. and only having a 5cr listing fee...

and i don't see how this is designed stupidly?

if you don't want to sell it too low, don't set your starting bid so low.

Yeah, the listing fee is such that it is often cheaper to log onto an alt and BIN the auction in order to cancel it. Likewise, it is better to list at 1cr starting bid, then use an alt to bid up to the real starting bid.

I didnt know i cant cancel an auction when there is a bid.. (i wont do that as it is unfair to the bidder) and i just checking out with the know-it-alls in game =)

And if you realise, some posted with 1cr as starting bid, which is misleading to cancellation of auction coz the listing fee is cheap.

I didnt know an option to raise own auction price using alt char! xD
