I know theres alot of similar posts like this one. I ask though to make sure I don't make a wrong choice I am looking for somthing around the lines of an all round sword. Somthing I can fight anything with and it will do decent against. So im torn between the DA and the Leviathan. I'm very tired so ill be back later to research any point of views I get. Sypsy is right. If you haven't already, read the wiki page on Damage. The upshot is that normal swords (and guns) are general-purpose, because they do moderate damage to every monster, while non-normal swords (and guns) are specialized, because they do high damage to some monsters, moderate damage to some monsters, and terrible, terrible damage to some monsters. When you're facing a monster, you'd like to use a weapon to which it's vulnerable, but you'd REALLY like to avoid using a weapon that it resists.
You can use DA, if your other weapon is non-elemental to handle the gremlins and beasts. There are some other considerations here, such as speed/dodging, but that's the simple version. If this is all too much to think about, then go with Leviathan as a safe choice (with a nice charge attack).

Before the update, i'd go DA. since DA looks like crap now, i'd go levi.

@OP Levi uses normal damage as well as doing strong damage, so it's the best all around.

pfft looks are nowhere near
pfft looks are nowhere near as important as utility. And normal damage weapons aren't very useful in tier 3. Who cares if DA isn't good against gremlins or wolvers? You're not going to use it as your only weapon. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing lev has going for it is the charge attack. I would much rather have a weapon that's good against SOMETHING, and has a ranged attack, or at least some kind of other bonus.

So what ive gathered from all your advice and some research.
I will first get the levi because i've decided that I wan't a all round weapon that I don't have to worry about being to weak against certain monsters. Later on I may get the DA if my load outs become more specialized. Thanks every one for the advice!-Sir_cazm

Well, Leviathan is a fine choice. We could help more if we knew your second weapon. The two weapons can complement each other.
What's your other weapon(s)?
The levi is the definition of all-round, so I'd vote for Levi.
DA does poorly against gremlins and beasts afterall.
