I have roughly 20000 CR just lying around, and I am in the market for some new weapons. (Swords or Guns) What should I buy? (should be based on facts or personal experience) Currently I have the whole Mighty Cobalt set with Mighty Defender, a Cold Iron Carver, and Jalovec. (Reccomended weapons- 4 star please, or a similar lower star level that can be upgraded to 4 star)

Adding a third weapon slot? Pulsar or Thorn Blade.

I am thinking about Blizzbrand, because Ice is my favorite status. i dont have enough rescoursces to get a sealed to upgrade to avenger though.
I like Spur series but doesn't have 5 star.
i am not much of a gunner, but a Pulsar would be nice. Better get Roarmulus farming!

Piercing swords are amazing,
Piercing swords are amazing, they have both the mob control of a Heavy Sword and the 1v1 damage of a normal sword, but it's faster than both.
Best combination of two swords would be:
Piercing sword for damage against Fiends, Beasts, and Gremlins, and taking out healers. I recommend the Barbarous Thorn Blade
Elemental sword for damage against Constructs, Undead, and Slimes. I recommend the Divine Avenger, Blizzbrand, or Fang of Vog with Vog Cub Cap+Coat.

@Fiendishknight - Fang of Vog is not that amazing and it is the hardest sword to obtain in game. The only use for Fang of Vog is its charged attack which is extremely powerful. Otherwise, it is slow (solved by ASI) and deals less damage on the normal attacks than Combuster.
Recommended swords:
Piercing: Barbarous Thorn Blade/Final Flourish (I personally prefer BTB because of its charge attack)
Elemental: Combuster/Glacius/Voltedge/Divine Avenger
Shadow: Acheron/Gran Faust (they are the only shadow swords currently and both are very good)

It's kinda the hardest sword to get. Meaning, it is the hardest to obtain by yourself. However, it is the cheapest 5* sword you can buy from another player, and you can buy it at virtually any time of any day. No other 5* sword is not so readily available to purchase (or so cheap).
I assume that is why the previous poster suggested it.

SS's are only like 50k at the AH, while there's only 2 FoV up, one for like 600k and the other for 1m.
FoV is definitely not the cheapest 5* weapon readily available.
Buying a SS (or better yet, farming RJ) and upgrading it to Avenger is going to be much cheaper and better than trying to buy a FoV (which is a mediocre sword in comparison). The 4* Avenger would be a much better investment than FoV.
Mentioning FoV as an option is a moot point anyway as the poster said he only has 20k right now and not even 5* gear yet. haha

I would advocate getting a Freezing Vaporizer. Not a sword per se, but it's path has amazing crowd control which then allows you to saw apart your enemies with gleeful abandon.

I would recomend not to get the spur series I have the arc razor and It's not all that good
get an elemental sword like avenger or one of the brandishes
