Crafting A Weapon - Can you use Mist energy?

Recently, I bought a Striker recipe, got 190 Crystal Energy (used 10 by accident) and near a full tank of mist.

I have a level 10 Cutter, that is bound to me. Do I seriously need to pay another 200 energy to unbind it, then craft it? (Might as well have bought a Striker from the auction in that case).

So my question is, do I need to unbind a weapon to craft it, or do I have to get 10 more Crystal Energy (at 6.1k per 100, bit excessive?)?

If I need to unbind it (another 12k), what is the point in crafting apart from UVs?
or
If I need to get 10 more CE, do I have to pay 6.1k/money for 100, or is there some way to get 10 CE (even by just doing stuff like surveys)?

No, you don't need to unbind

No, you don't need to unbind it to craft the upper version.
If you have mist energy, msit will be used first, so it'll cost you up to 100 ME and the rest in CE. To get only 10 CE, you can try to trade directly to other players.

No you don't need to unbind it, just unequip it and you're good to go. =]
And yes you can use your mist in crafting. It actually goes first anyway, you don't have a choice. haha
