Rare equipment drops from treasure boxes? (Quicksilver Helm)

A guildmate (Spylenz) has just obtained a Quicksilver Helm ([1], [2]) from a red treasure box. This is the first time I have heard about the helm/any drop like this (An equipment that has no recipe, and isn't found anywhere else, that is), although I do remember seeing devs wearing a quicksilver set before.
So, I'm wondering: Have any of you seen or obtained "rare" drops like this from treasure boxes? Perhaps even from some certain monsters?

During the preview event this was true: the red treasure boxes were always designed to drop better things-- more coins, more heat, and rare items. EQUIPMENT DROPS ARE RARE. Kudos to your friend!

What does gear look like when
What does gear look like when on the ground?
Same icons as it will have in the inventory when looted or do they all have the same icon?

It just shows up over your
It just shows up over your head using its weapon icon, like a material you pick up. It's never just lying on the ground.
Edit: Now that I think about it, I've probably never seen it on the ground because I just run into it whilst bashing the treasure boxes. So it probably would lie on the ground using its weapon icon.
I only ever got a Zapper and a Slime Smasher. *sad*

But never found any equipment ever again.. neither have my friend found any.. so yeah, equipment are quite rare :)

I've seen only one equip drop
I've seen only one equip drop from treasure boxes and that was a skelly shield in t2 area, around depth 14. Don't remember exactly. Didn't get the shield either, but saw it drop!

Equipment is incredibly rare, but it does drop probably less than 1% of the time. Still, with an average of about half a red box per level (once you throw in Spiral Courts, Treasure Vaults, etc.), don't be too shocked when it does happen.
I got a Spur that way :D

This is no special find, but I did just get a Needle Shot (3* Autogun) from a RTB (Red Treasure Box) in Coral Pawn Gate 2 B9F.

i got a jelly shield (2-star) from an item box once, think it was in tier 1. i was pretty happy about that, even though i didnt really need it. dont know how often stuff like that drops, but doesnt sound as rare as what youre talking about.
