I kinds laugh at the Shadows key prices
Ex: 700k, 800k...
Rather get a Sliver key than that ridiculous price what people selling it for.
Really? shadow keys
Yeah, they usually are much cheaper. He's probably referring to the Shadow Key's buy-out of around 700kcr in Auction House. At the very least, those who want it right now are able to guarantee Shadow Runs whenever they feel like it rather than waiting. I'm sure there's a handful of people that are willing to buy at that price, though not necessarily playing while those Auctions are running...
i remember when they were at 200k cr or less, now im tryna get one fr 400k any thing after that seems too much, plus you need to go down to the shadow lair 2 times to get a full set, so u gotta get 2 shadow keys.
the more time that goes on, the higher key prices will get. Silver keys included - which means rise in CE.
Eventually, it will hit the point where CE prices will be higher than the amount of money you get from spending 100 energy in a single run. And shadow keys will be near impossible to get.
You maybe surprised that CE prices actually dropped (from 6k to 5.8k).
My theory is that either the CR pool is running dry (because people start to quit the game), or OOO has been performing open market operation (i.e. inject cheap CE) to depress CE prices. This way people can proceed to upgrade their gears and get ready for Shadow Lair.
Another interesting observation is that someone (an unknown party) has been injecting a fair amount of Weapon / Trinket slots into AH at a below market price. My guess is either OOO's market operation or someone just created an army of alternate characters!
give it time, after dark harvest fest, price will jump on many things.
You know.. People sell it at 700-800k because some people DO buy it for that price. Would you sell an item for 10k crowns instead of selling it for 20k crowns, while people still buy it at that price?
If you think the price is too high, then just do not buy it. Like I do.
i remember when they were at 200k cr or less
Really? when was that? I seem to recall the ones on the AH always being 500k+ from the very start. Maybe a few sold for less, but not many. From what I can see, the prices have dropped slightly.
The cr<->CE exchange rate has, indeed, been dropping ever since the shadow lairs release.
AH closing prices of Shadow Key have never fell below 300k.
@Eltia People buy trinket and weapon slots with mist on their alts. They only cost 50 and 150 ce that way, so selling them at 5.5kcr and 12.5kcr in the AH nets you a free ~2kcr or so assuming 60cr/ce.
OOO has definitely been stuffing the AH with shadow keys, though.
CE prices are probably dropping because of punkin farming, though. A lot of people are running D1 clockworks tunnels levels which pay out virtually nothing, or doing T2 but skipping arenas in favour of punkinable levels rather than the other way around. Fewer crowns in circulation pushes down the price of CE.
Crafting / buying trinkets on ME is basic knowledge (at least to me). Thank you for pointing it out.
My only hope is that this whole shadow key business is not going to become a contest of who has the largest droid (alternate character) army.
If the flow of new players dries up it will not matter how big a person's droid army is if there are not new recruits to buy all the mist generated stuff from all those alts...
Well I do not know how many new, actual human players are joining. I do know that if at some point numbers are being published to suggest that the SK gamer base is expanding, these numbers probably include a sizable droid army. (A side effect of this Shadow Key business, so we do not get derail in this thread.)
Looks like people selling them at 100k or 190k now.Acution hourse still sells them a high price. My wish cameture...
Rather get a Sliver key than that ridiculous price what people selling it for.
Well, keep in mind, paying that price gives a 100% chance at the shadow key(Unless of course the game glitches and you end up not getting what you won, but I'm doubtful that will happen.), while just opening a lot of lockboxes and hoping for a shadow key could end up being more expensive than what it's worth.
Although 700k? I could have sworn to see them much cheaper than that before I logged off. I'll have to check again when I get the chance.(Can't really blame sellers though, the buyers are the ones who are willing to pay the price.)
