Does anyone know if getting a UV is more probable if you craft from the same equipment line or if it doesn't matter what type of gear you craft, but the number of times you craft in general? Also, let's say you switch from armor to weapons. Does getting a great UV somehow "reset" when you craft a different kind of item if you go from armor to weapons since they have different maximum levels?

I think they greatly reduced
I think they greatly reduced the percentage of getting UVs on 2* and 3* items when they added Punch.
No, I don't think so. You'll probably get more resourceful posts later though.
I am pretty sure though that it doesn't.
