Hi. You seem to know a lot about the game and like to share your opinion. I was wondering what you thought was good 5* gear to aim for? I realize that specializing your equipment for the various types of stratum (plural?) is ideal, but say you could only afford one set of 5* gear. What would you recommend? I've lurked and followed your advice on the silversix and it destroys the firestorm citadel which makes me a happy camper.

But you will need Piercing if you tend to run into spikes by accident like myself...
Piercing's good for dealing with the monster lichen who break out in spikes when angry. But I find that for spikes in general it's best to practice not running into them. You get many opportunities for this, fortunately.
Excellent. I have finished my vog cub set this morning so that's good news. What kind of bombs do you like? What about swords?
I'd rather just use the 40 token jelly gem items that give piercing defense rather than wasting a piece of armor on it.
In other words, piercing damage is almost totally avoidable when there's only two things that cause piercing damage.
Anyway, I don't use bombs. Not my style. As for swords, I'm all about Divine Avenger and Gran Faust. With Vog Cub and a heavy sword, I can be neck deep in zombies and not get hit once.

Well, Normal/Elemental are the most common damage types, and the fact that armors for them are normally coupled with Fire Resist is fantastic!
This means Volcanic armors are not only good for general use, but for Firestorm Citadel as well. Specifically, Vog Cub, Volcanic Plate, and Volcanic Demo. Not so much Volcanic Salamander because it doesn't have a good bonus.
More specifically. Vog Cub for preventing being hit more when using heavy swords, Volcanic Plate if you use lighter weapons and get hit more, and demo for bombs and stuff. (Volcanic Demo is the best demo anyway.)
