Much like the 100% Devilite Free idea someone else put up, I was thinking of upping a small threat. This may or may not compare to the gargantuan thread the CEO got, but hey! It's suggestions and wishes! Please welcome a new T1 suggestion!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description:
Greavers themselves may hold little threat due to their lack of health, but their mobility make their powers up-to-standard, but there's one more problem- the biggest ones have taken a section of the Owlite Academy, and Kats assist them in their darkest times! The large ones, especially one known as the Greavulux, prove to be vicious air-borne rivals of the Snarbolax. Their speed and mass amounts cause their prey to shudder from their very appearance, making breaking walls necessary for strategy! The Greavulux stuns its foes when it zooms into one. Its six wings and horns red, skin black, and eyes bright orange lights, they strike as much fear as the Snarbolax itself does!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Levels:
Floor 5: Owlite Academy South Wing: Hushed Halls
The basic Owlite academy location- except only filled with Kats, Greavers that fall from above, Howlitzers, and Silkwings. Solve a good number of puzzles in four different chambers while trying to keep light in your path to avoid the darkest foes to emerge! Puzzles like Jigsaw and mazes inhabit this floor. Greavers pop out from above, usually depicted from dark spots on the floor! These can be destroyed by throwing embers to brighten the darkness of the spawns!
Floor 6: Owlite Academy South Wing: Ancient Architecture
Wait... how do you hide? YOU CAN'T! Greavers here cause fire and shock, and spawn at more areas than before, causing them to flood entire rooms! Large "Deconstruction Zone" rooms inhabit the area. No where to hide. One place to run. And by the way, monsters at a certain point that keep coming from those shadows would eventually stop dropping items. No farming needed. Find the keys and get out of there!
Floor 7: Owlite Academy South Wing: Greavulux' Grim Grounds
Room: The room itself is a large gear in appearance, with 12 teeth equally spaced like a clock: 6:00 and 12:00 for Entrance and Exit, 1:00 4:00 7:00 and 10:00 spawn up to five Greavers total that chase the Greavulux as it flies only to run into you. 3:00 and 9:00 have Silkwings spawning continuously, as well, but only two at one period of time. 2:00 and 8:00 have the only fire embers that respawns for you, and the rest spawn Kats, one at a time, three to exist at one time. The start button is in the center, and wide bridges reach as an X across the ring. All Greavers that spawn in this room would only deal stun. Welcome to the Cavern of the Greavulux.
BOSS BATTLE: Greavulux spawns at the 12:00 with a shriek! The Greavulux starts flying clockwise, wings wide, attracting only up to three Greavers that follow it at high speed! Dodge all enemies, and grab the 2:00 ember! The Greavulux could fly in the X bridges or the ring, and even figure-8! When the Greavulux flies toward you, it's the best time to throw the ember, hoping you dodge all enemies to survive. When you hit the Greavulux with the ember, the Greavulux lands, and spasms of its vibrating wings could easily cause stun and great damage, but it's the only time it is vulnerable! The Greavers that followed the Greavulux are now launched at you! Attack the Greavulux and dodge those monsters! It could get healed by the Silkwings, by the way. After a while, the Greavulux climbs up a wall and spawns at 12:00 again to fly counter clockwise or through the bridges! When the Greavulux runs into you when you don't shield or throw the ember, you get stunned and take much damage, not to mention those Greavers that once followed it now latch onto you! Rinse and repeat until the Greavulux shrieks its last and falls. The token and a bit of heat and crowns spawn at the 12:00, token being the Violet Wing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
TOKEN REWARDS:
25 - 3* Enigmastrike Buckler (Shadow protection Swift Strike, with one more alchemy gain- 4* Shadowfury Buckler)
25 - 3* Silencer (Magnus upgrade that holds Normal/Piercing damage and damage against Fiends with maybe Stun along with slight homing- 4* Screech, 5* Screamer)
10 - 2* Shadower Cloak (Shadow protection and a bit of elemental defense, stun, and curse protection and raises Gun Damage and Speed! Drops fire defense- 3* Forseer Mantle, 4* Grim Mantle, 5* Fate Wanderer w/ slight elemental defense and medium Gun Damage and Speed!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
SHADOW VERSION:
Almost very much the same thing, but longer deconstruction and much harder puzzles, taking more time and more endurance against incoming waves. Be ready to face Grimalkins and Menders! And of course, they are ALL Tier 3 monsters. Now all types of Greavers spawn! In both rooms, a pre-elevator battle is versus one Greavulux on a small clock that is almost identical to T1 boss battle, still dealing stun. The real problem is the REAL boss battle.
BOSS BATTLE: Much, much darker. Use your embers to light passages that were once ridded of Grimalkins. Now, there are THREE Greavulux! Take 'em all out as fast as possible and beware the monsters that still haunt you, now up to sixteen Greavers at a time and ten Spookats at a time! They each deal the annoying shock status affect, but fore sure, you go to sleep with every time they fly over you! Dodge the bosses, dodge the monsters, dodge the Grimalkins, and did I mention the "clock" arena now has a minute hand???? SHADOW BALLS OF FURY ROTATING LIKE A CHAIN FROM THE CENTER! Don't stay in one place too long, but make sure you kill your three Greavulux!!! The Material you gain from this Shadow area is the Silent Wing.
SANCTUARY ITEMS:
Upgrade the Miracle Cloak and Hood!
5*-Deathwatcher Robes (Normal and Shadow Protection with high Curse defense, high Shock defense, and high Stun defense! There is medium Damage against Fiends)
5*-Deathwatcher Shawl (Normal and Shadow Protection with high Curse defense, high Shock defense, and high Stun defense! There is medium Damage against Fiends)

Discuss! Thanks for reading!

PS- The name "Greavulux" is Greaver and "deluxe" and ends with the X for symmetry to the Snarbolax, its land-based rival! Similarly, they both are T1 bosses and gain brethren in the Shadow lairs.
New T1 Fiend Boss - Greavulux
Last Revive. Running out of Mist Energy. I don't want this thread to die so vacant...
This boss seems pretty hard for a t1, especially the levels leading up to it. The grimalkins already can decimate new players by themselves, without randomly spawning (dropping) greavers that cause status effects. Also, it seems like puzzles in SK wouldn't really work out - besides, it would really suck if you couldn't figure it out. Maybe this could go as a t3 or t2 boss.
/sign good idea we need a no2 t1 boss :)
True about those meddling grimalkins. May be a problem for T1, but good for shadow lair! And by Puzzles, I mean like jigsaws or something. Come up with suggestions!
Reading through this I can offer 4 pieces of advice:
1) Change it up a bit so that it fits T2 or T3. My reason? Just too much going on. Of course if you change it to T2/3, you will need to add 1/2 more levels.
2) Make it easier so that it qualifies as a T1 Boss. How? Tone down on the Statuses, it just way too much for a Newbie to handle. Also, Grimalkins can destroy even Veterans, so ease up on them, ok?
Shadow) The Shadow Lairs is supposed to ROCK-HARD!! So don't pull any punches!
But each of the previous Shadow Lairs dealt with only 1 Status, so I'd recommend that you do the same. What status? Shock seems the obvious one.
Bonus) The clock design thing is very intrigueing.
Although the Token Rewards might need to be thought out a bit more. Nice to see a costume in there for a change.
Alos try to make the Bosses attack pattern a bit more basic? i.e. Snarby? Hit bell when near, hit when Yellow; Roarmulus Twins? Hit Switch to block crazy-random attacks, attack when one is down; JK? Various, each based on different strategies for individual players (All-in, thought-out, anything in-between); Vanaduke? Thats some Crazy Stuff right there son.
@Ghret don't the Red Roarmulus levels deal both fire and shock? And fire and curse on Darkfire Vana?
Good point. Didn't realise that since I haven't played them yet. Still, my point stands, He needs to streamline the amount of statuses going on in there. Stun and Shock are the ones that spring to mind for me when I think of Greavers. Of course other people may think differently.
Editting now! i still want this to be a T1 boss, though, for the lack of bosses in T1 and for the Greaver to be known again.
You'll need to either tone this down alot for t1, or tone it up for t2/3.
Also, for the shadoiw version, only use 2 statuses.
I reckon this may happen eventually though. Weve got 2 t2 bosses, and only 1 t1 and 1 t3. Which means we have 2 boss types left over. I can see this happening, although probably more as a t3 at the difficulty youre saying.
The 3* shiled is too much of a reward for a T1 boss...
To Juances, the 3* is a weak shield with a high speed addition. Plus it's worth slightly more than the others- 15 tokens. I'll bump it up to 20. And as for Sizco, how can this current boss be nerfed? As in, what else does it need to lose to become T1? Please suggest. I'll try to edit it to become a bit easier, but what you're saying doesn't specifically help, but thanks for the feedback.
Greavers are bad enough, a greaver boss is over kill!! I'll rather take my chances with a Devilite boss!!!
Wait, what? Greavers, I feel, could be taken out extremely easily. They lack health, dodge, and only attack. Devilites dodge and throw whatever they can at faster speeds than a gun puppy's energy blast. Plus, they grow extra powerful with a Pit Boss nearby, although they can also barely take hits, but they can dodge unlike Greavers. You can oh so easily shield bump a Greaver and not take ANY damage from those attacks, or attack in the meantime and take them out faster. And this is T1. The Greaver boss would definitely make Greavers harder, at least in the boss stratum. As for Devilites, I'd dodge them if they don't always lock me in arenas.
you can most certianaly take them out quick with a sword. They screw gunners and bombers though. Snarble barb it is!
You do realize though, that would make both T2 bosses ressist peircing, and both T1 bosses weak to it?
greavers, and devilites are incredibly easy for me to destroy. i think it's because i use a heavy sword...
anyways, not a bad idea. but generally boss depths are... they start with the same letter (Warfare Workshop, Red Carpet Runaround, Garden of Goo, Perilious Path, etc).
maybe:
SHADOW CAVERNS
1) Devilite Darkness
Devilites, Devilites everywhere... hiding in the shadows, their office applainces ready to hit you. Most peoples worst nightmare, one of my favorite dreams.
2) Greaver Grave
Greavers fall from the sky... and rise from the ground. Watch out for those Greaver Zombies! Yes, I know there aren't any. But they can make them. And fallen Knights return as Zombies and Trojans (i don't mean that if u die, u become a trojan/zombie.) , so expect a super graveyard battle.
3) Trojan Trap
Run.
4) The Greavulux's Breeding Room
Beware the Greavulux, a member of the mutant species of Giant Greavers. Eggs dot the room, and from them, Greavers spawn. Red indicates Ruby (fire), Green Emerald (poison), and so on and so forth. You're only hope is to smash the eggs, provaking the Greavulux, so he swoops down from his perch, ready to smash you. That is your chance to smash him back. Gain... Greaver Eggs(?) as tokens, and trade them with brinks for:
b- 3* Enigmastrike Buckler recipe for 20 Eggs, a 3* of the Swiftstrike Buckler, with Shadow Defense, upgrades to Hyperspeed Buckler, than Lightspeed Buckler.
- 3* Orion recipefor 20 eggs, 3* version of the Magnus, a piercing gun that has a slight homing upgrade, doing extra damage to fiends.
- Greaver mask for 25 eggs, a flattened Greaver tied around your face. Imagine one of those masks that look like butterflies. Chage the butterfly into a Greaver. There you go!
of course, me idea would be 2*, since it has 3* stuff and seems really hard.
Once in T1 or was it T2, I was not focusing and a swarm of greavers killed me quickly! Second to my Phantom story, but that's for another time.
@Orangeo Nice catch!
@Lord I'll try to change it (names), but I want to keep the types of levels they have.
@Atrum Focus XD
And to support Gunslingers, the armor now gives Gun bonuses to support the other token weapon!
I'm going to use Snarbolax as a baseline here.
IMO, there's still way too much going on at once for a T1 boss; you're probably going to have to do away with non-boss enemies entirely. Snarbolax may be the only T1 boss, but it also happens to be the only boss that doesn't have respawning enemy fodder constantly harassing you - the only thing you need to focus on is the boss.
Compared with the Snarby battle, you need to deal with additional attacks both while you're striking the boss during a vulnerable phase as well as when you're defending. You also need to exert much more caution in forcing the boss into its vulnerable phase, as you drop any carried items when hit and the embers may hit the wrong target or miss entirely, compared with a stationary, easily accessible and easily rung bell in the Snarbolax battle. The boss is still capable of dealing damage even when vulnerable to attack. And, to top it all off, the boss can heal with the Silkwings, making them one more target to worry about.
Now, you say that T1 Greavers aren't terribly hard to deal with, and that may be true (no status clouds just yet). However, time being spent getting the Greavers out of your face also means time being unprotected and unshielded from the boss ramming into you - not only inflicting damage, but an additional Stun status, leaving you more vulnerable to the mobs than before. Once again, we can compare this with the Snarbolax battle, where pretty much the only times you'll be unshielded will be when you're attacking the bell/Snarby, running from a bite combo (from Snarby), or a T3 player who wants to mess around and dodge everything manually.
Alternatively, if you REALLY WANT those Greavers everywhere, perhaps you can consider making them the focus of the battle, and having the boss play a somewhat less prominent role in interacting with the party. I'm not sure how you'd work that out, though.
Thanks Kupoo! I'll try to nerf the boss, or his minions. It is significantly larger than the minions that FOLLOW (not in front, but in back), larger with wings spread out (watch out) and a fairly easy target to hit with the ember, and not that many Greavers actually spawn in the boss battle, and less of other species (Kats and Silkwings). While the Snarbolax takes way too long to even get NEAR the bell, you can throw your vulnerabilitanator at the boss that is coming in! A few swings get rid of the Greavers that followed it, and you're on your way to taking out the Greavulux, if you are close to it at least. The Greavulux originally seemed way too easy, as the Greavulux almost would not kill you itself besides the rams and spasms. that's why I decided to add a few extra enemies during the battle, and only one Silkwing that doesn't follow the Greavulux. I'll try to edit it though. Thanks!
if the Greavulux battle would be swarming with fiends, there should be some kind of Fiend Bell to assist u.
Well, there ARE embers to help you to "stun out" that thing
It's a good idea in theory but this is how I would play it.
you walk into the den of the Grevulux ( it is a headmasters office or something, keeping with the idea that it has taken over part of the owlite academy. owl mosaics on the walls, trashed desks at the side, grimy tiled floors, etc.) then what i'm thinking is it's pitch black and you emit a powerful glow that lights most of the room (25 squares around you, you being in the center) you walk to the other side of the room and you light the grevulux's shiny wings up ( the orange greaver eyes on his back shine over) (the grevulux has the eyes patterns and wings of a ruby and the body of a beryl, all this is very large of course. Horns even more so) the grevulux who was sitting turns and starts flying with a horrible inhumane shriek. He first starts flying high ( too high to see and he swoops down on you, going all the way to the other side of the room as it does this ( if he hits you, you get moderate stun and take low elemental and high shadow damage). His aim is exactly 2 seconds off every time so keep moving. After he does this 4-8 times he crashes into a wall and falls for a limited time. During this time you light one (to light you hit it with an attack, it's magic.) of 8 special candles ( one for each corner and one in the middle of each wall) that light him on fire ( like a vaporizer animation) when hes on fire he's vulnerable and unlike other greavers he has high health. Rinse and repeat. When he gets low health he enters a rage (starting with an automatic stunning screech) your glow lights the entire room and he now has more damage (elemental gets boosted) a speed boost ( aim is now 1.3 seconds off) and he stays down for less time. When he screams his last, your large entire room glow brightens the room from the lighting of a gloaming wildwoods level to a haven arcade lighting and a huge token drops down, some glimmering wings (description "A shimmering glittering wing encrusted with jewels dropped by the evil grevulux. it is always icy to the touch), then a part of the wall slides to the left and you recover a recon module (I can't write it because I have only the snarby one and I don't know what to write about) and you head to, moorcroft manor
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
prizes are:
Reaper cloak
2* Screech (same as Orion, that piercing gun he mentioned before but it has less damage then the Magnus, more speed and the charge attack is a huge black meteor that does high shadow goes far and has a chance of inflicting stun (like a shadow blaster with stun!)
nightdawn ( a shadow and elemental curved sword that has brandish speed and 2 and a half bars attack, charge is a spin attack that does elemental and shadow and has chance to shock the enemy.)
(enigma strike buckler would kill swiftstrike out.)
fused carapace ( shield that boosts status chance and defends against shadow and normal)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
shadow liar version adds a chance of shock, 1 greaver spawns with every swoop and 3 spawn when it falls.(candles inflict fire to normal greavers)
As if greavers didn't give me enough griev, now I'll get even more greiv!
But anyway, not a bad idea. I got nothing regarding ideas and such, but it sounds cool :D
the idea is sound, there is currently no boss for the enemy type, I worry a little about minion spawns but reviewing his attacks I think it balances out fairly well, then again, only one person RACK THAT SUPPORT.
+1

Golf Clap anyone?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmjHT5GpAYQ
Im' confused, there are no minion spawners in my version, or are you talking about Heavy-Duty's version?
Anyway +1
it's only a gunner boss swordsmen get nothing out of it at all
3* stuff is too high for a t1 boss, also doesn't the grim reaper have a scythe? so shouldn't it be swordsman bonus of shadow damage or just a shadow damage boost?
it's nice to have another t1 boss, but the rewards are basically the twins' rewards, so people will probably have 3* guns of this or a different version already. so people might just not bother as much with fighting the twins, because it only gives you 2* guns and getting these is easier.
I fixed that ( the screech is now 2*) (I did use snarby as a base) and is there any way we could improve on this! (Does anyone like the idea of the fused carapace).
Item prices and items changed. Costume is no longer available.
I think we can come to some agreement heavy-duty.
How about we keep my boss battle ( I couldn't understand yours), a new token (midnight wing) and your rewards (but switch enigma-strike buckler with fused carapace).
Agreed?
Funny thing is, I don't understand yours.
MY MECHANIC: When Greavulux keeps flying around, he can only be taken down by a Fire Ember, and then he's stopped and Vulnerable like Snarby is to the Beast Bell. He flies around with some Greavers, making it a little harder to kill him instantly, and after a certain time is up, he climbs up a wall to respawn somewhere else to keep flying. Explain yours :D
Grevulux is mostly out of sight (not vulnerable) and he swoops from one side of the room to the other (doing damage if he hits you) after about 5 swoops the next time he swoops, if you dodge it, he crashes into a wall and falls. Then imagine, if snarby was still black (not vulnerable) but unable to move. and you hit a candle with damage and it does something like the vaporizer animation and if it hits him it makes him vulnerable. you repeat this until he dies. (that was the skinned down version so you would understand).
Also you have to nerf his minions on your idea if you did it. One of the reasons snarby is a tier 1 boss is because you only have to concentrate on him and not his minions.
EDITS: Removed Costume and Scythe from the boss collection items. Lightspeed Buckler renamed to Shadowfury Buckler. Renamed armors to fit more "range" style combat.
@Fropps
The reason behind my 'Ring with an X' is so that the Greavulux won't stop movign and be fully vulnerable to burns whenever. Minions, I would probably edit to match the Easy Side more... But to add challenge instead of wait for intervals, players make that choice when they throw the Ember. When hit by an Ember, he's vulnerable. I'm going into detail later how the armors and items would look like...
This is like doubling the Royal Jelly, adding bit of FSC in and making it Fiend.
Are you seriously saying this is TIER ONE? I call it Tier 3.5.
EDIT:
The Shadow Lair version... that is... what kind of abomination are you? THREE OF THE BOSS?!?! SIXTEEN GREAVERS?!?! It's like piling up all the levels of ten random status theme arenas and dumping it IN ONE ROOM.
Have you read my version?
And if you have do you like it? (it's in this forum).
Bye
cmon 3* is way too much for a T1 boss thats really off.
the grim reaper uses a scythe so why is it gun bonus shouldn't it be sword damage bonus shadow or at least just shadow damage boost
@Spyash
No more Grim Reaper. I changed it so it'd still be related to death, but ranger form. Plus, it's worth 25 tokens. Any suggestions for how many tokens it's worth? Maybe 30? Or maybe reduce the power altogether?
@Fropps
The only problem I have with yours is that it must run into walls. I feel this is very choppy, and it really doesn't have to make the players move around that much. However, I'm thinking of changing it to fit your idea too...
@Alphacommando
Any suggestions to make it weaker? Besides, Shadow Lair means it should be a tad more chaotic. Snarby gets a twin, so Geavs could probably get two. How else would it more challenging? As for the real boss battle, just run around with an ember! Shield, kill the Greavers, and attack the pinned Greavulux. It's not a turnbyturn mechanic, you just gotta move. And yes, in Shadow Lair, Greavers, a minutehandchainofdoom, Grimalkins, three Greavulux, and Spookats would do very nicely. Any suggestion?
I didn't mention this in my post but since it takes time to swoop, the aim I gave you ( 2 seconds off) is reduced the closer to the wall you are. So that if you are right next to the wall the aim is about 0.3 seconds off. Thus increasing the difficulty the closer to the wall you are. Thus making players staying closer to the center. Thus making them move to other places because if they don't they will get swooped.
To alphacommando: You can't pull any trips for the boss in shadow lairs! The boss has to be rock hard! (I still don't agree with the "ring" idea, too much like the jelly king.
I like that we are starting to get an agreement.
why would some on who is a swordsman do this boss?
you have to tone down the rewards 3* is way too much for t1 boss
@Spyash
Why would bombers and gunners do Snarby? Why bombers on royal Jelly? Why bombers or swordsmen on Roarmulus? Why bombers or gunners on Vanaduke? And 3* is MUCH more expensive for a T1. Maybe make it 30 tokens?
@Fropps
Jelly King has no ring. This arena is actually very linear; hallways in a ring and a cross section that goes right through.
EDIT: Changing names for an error...
I missed this thread...
/hugs thread.
@Necro
I brought in the Homing characteristic into the Silencer series. I also fixed the names ("Owlite Academy South Wing" is the new name), but does anyone have a better name? It has to be in the Owlite Academy, however.
Its hard to wrap my mind around this. its just TOO MUCH, man!
