I know this forum loves giving opinions, so I'm asking for an appraisal of my current loadout. Constructive advice will be greatly appreciated, rudeness will be ignored.

THE LIST OF THINGS;

Everything is Level 10. And yes I know it's not all 5* yet...

Armor;
Crown of the Fallen, Shadow Def Low
Divine Mantle, Normal Def Low

Shield;
Dragon Scale Shield

Weapons;
Divine Avenger, Vs Fiend Low
Virulent Catalyzer
Radiant Sun Shards, CTR Med

Trinket;
Quick Strike Module
(considering a Bomb focus module when i get another mod cal)

Thanks in advance for your thoughts :D

Hmm

Your equipment will certainly work, but I don't think it is an optimal set up. I'll point out the things that could be done differently or where there are holes.

Armors
Divine Veil + Armor of the Fallen would have given you neutral damage to fiends. In the Divine set, only the Veil has the damage bonus, otherwise they have identical stats. You must really hate Fire/Shadow damage to double up on it :) No piercing defense is going to leave you vulnerable to Beasts/Jelly but isn't a big issue if you handle those types well enough. Not having both pieces with Normal defense means you'll take more than your fair share of damage against Vanaduke so stay light on your toes there.

Shields
What shields do you use?

Weapons
I think you could do well with a 4th weapon slot containing a Flourish. Against Fiends the DA actually performs quite well, but a Flourish is still better due to the bonus damage. But it is against beasts that you'll have the most difficulty. They aren't going to sit still for the Catalyzer, and hitting them with an RSS is very tricky. Hitting them with a DA does sub-optimal damage. If you get a Flourish to round out your arsenal then both Beasts and Fiends will cower in fear. And if Gremlins are being too evasive when shot with the Catalyzer then you can finish them off with the Flourish too.

That's the only quite noticeable issue in your weapons at the moment. I'm sure over time you'll add alternate weapons for more scenarios.

Trinkets
The Quick Strike trinket is very useful. I carry two when using heavy swords.
The Bomb Focus trinkets are also an excellent choice since CTR >>> Bomb Damage.

Your armoring is good, but gives no Curse resistance if your gonna try Shadow Lairs ( don't know if Shadow Lair monsters Curse or not)8D
If you want to broaden your resistance, then I would suggest, since you already have a Divine Mantle, a Skolver Cap
OR
a Skolver suit with Divine Veil since it gives more Curse resistance (if you want to do Shadow Lairs)
both of the armor combos both give the same amount of Attack Bonuses.

I'd say your weapons covers every type :'D, but I would suggest getting a Piercing sword if your bomb is too slow to deal Piercing damage, like a Final Flourish or a BTB

I can't give any criticism on Trinkets though I have no experience in em :P

oops added my shieldI have a

oops added my shield

I have a twisted snarble barb with vs beast low but I haven't felt the need to upgrade it- Beasts always seem to walk right into an RSS without any effort on my part, and the shards don't trigger their dodge half the time.

I will concede that the jelly king in particular gives me a lot of trouble- I have a faust but it doesn't mitigate my nonexistent pierce defense

No one told me the divine veil had a damage bonus :(

If I planned to do it economically, what would be another good armor or helm to add to my arsenal? I have the mercurial helm line recipes but haven't upgraded it yet... Or would mercurial mail be a better use of my CE? or are they not that great?

And thank you both for your advice so far :D

Twisted shield! Definitely!

Get a the Snarby shield for pierce defense against JK! It also has a damage bonus which helps a lot!

Shields, Swords, Bomb Suits

I suggest the Owlite shields series for dungeoning in the clockworks, but the Twisted Targe shields series yields Sword damage Bonus and it has a Piercing resistance, but shields only gives you the resistance if you defend. So i would recommend a Twisted Targe (Snarby shield).

I would suggest not to use the Mercurial series because movement speed isn't very useful, but if you want to use bombs try using the Mad Bomber series or the Volcanic Demo Suit, but note that Mad Bomber suits don't have very good elemental defense (fire freeze shock poison).

I wouldn't suggest using bombs in Royal Jelly palace.

If you are using a Faust in RJ palace and don't like the speed of it, try the Nightblade series, it's part of the brandish series, and it deals shadow damage and it's fast (3 hits).

My suggestion

These are my armor choices:

FSC:

Vog Cub Cap
Vog Cub Coat
Grey Owlite Shield
Elite Slash Module X2

DA
Polaris
Argent Peacemaker
Shivermist Buster

Jelly King:

Skolver Cap
Skolver Coat
Barbarous Thorn Shield
Elite Quickstrike Module X2

Gran Faust
Acheron
Polaris (just because I love it so much and its awesome)
Ash of Agni

With these, sword capabilities are pretty much maxed out and you have the needed resistances.
