Go ahead and show off your text swords here! Try to make them look like swords in Spiral Knights. Give me the name of your sword too.

My Swords (will be edited for more/new ones)

Divine Avenger/ Gran Faust:

............`~~~‛

Attempt at a better Divine Avenger/ Gran Faust than Martinsen :P.
its ok, i normally dont so text art so...
The thing at the bottom is the little blue ribbon tied to it.
I dont have a Divine Avenger or Gran Faust though. Need to work on that eventually. :/

Leviathan:

.......| .| | |
.......| ·| | |
.......| ·| | |
.......| ·| | |
.....[_~_~_~_]

This one really annoyed me. It came out ok at best, but could be better.

Final Flourish/ Barbarous Thorn Blade:

>.< this one is horrible. I tried doing a front view of it but...failed T^T

Glacius/Combuster/Voltedge:

.........| |–––| |
.........| |___| |
.........| |–––| |
.........| |___| |
........[_~_~_~_]

...........(_O_)

This wasn't too hard. the effects inside the blade is what stumped me. Then again im not gonna make a 5 page one for detail. :P

Acheron/ Silent Nightblade:

...........|.| _................|. |
...........|.|______ .......|. |
...........|_––––––| .......|· |

Took forever <_> but i got it done. Hopefully it turns out good >.<
P.S Make sure the part of it that you don't attack with is on the right, or itll be worse looking.

The Banstick (Game Master style >:D):

Alternate lazy way:

Rather simple this time, but looks like a candy cane a bit >.<
Alternate version is epic though ;D.

They look better after "preview" in my case.

Wow killed 3 hours doing this on my 3DS. meh, i wanted to.

Tip

Tip: you can force spaces by typing the non-breakable space entity:

See HTML Entities for details on HTML character entities.

This means you don't need to use periods (or other characters) to force spacing. To double-up and save room in the edit box, you can type a combination with actual spaces. Also note that you can copy the entity code (or multiples) for easy placement with Ctrl+V.

You could always copy your

You could always copy your "text sword" in to a text editor, and use the replace function to replace all instances of "." with the space entity.

Although, if they take different widths the end product might not line up properly...

Just a suggestion.

Also:

W W W W W W
l l l l l l

See that if you use the code tags, every character lines up perfectly. This means you can make your ascii art in, say, Notepad (with a vertically-aligned font) and it will look the same in the code tags. This also means spacing will remain consistent through your entire art, so you can center everything perfectly up to the last character.

Good idea, using & does work well. :) I'll edit that in to my earlier post for clarification.

Simple example using code tags and :
