We are The Company
an English language guild
What is the Company?
The Company is a guild that was started by Mandcompany for the purpose of: (1) staying connected within the game to friends, (2) being a part of an active group of players, (3) being in a guild with enough members so to allow guild runs and activities to happen at any given time, (4) fostering a friendly atmosphere to ultimately allow for a more enjoyable experience in game.
The guild has since grown and now we are ready to start actively recruiting new members. We welcome you to consider joining our guild and to become a part of this vision. We are by all means a casual guild, but this being said, we do have certain policies that we expect of all of our members.
Membership Pre-Requisites
[1] Access to Tier 2 Clockwork. We realize that this may or may not seem to be a low bar to set, as most recruiting guilds are requiring Tier 3 access but we find that much of the content beyond the second tier requires a large investment of time and CE and can be a wall that many new knights cannot overcome. As a guild, we don't want to turn away great knights just because they cannot afford to buy crystal energy or haven't played for a long enough time to accumulate enough CE.
[2] As much as we are a casual guild, in order to facilitate the vision we aim to achieve, we do have to be at least a little bit selective in who can become a member. As such, all applicants should contact an officer in game and ask to be taken on a trial run. If no available officer is online, please leave your in game name in this thread along with the answers to a few questions (listed at the bottom of this thread). Don't let this deter you from applying! While we do hope that you will be a knight that avoids unnecessary deaths, and one that can follow general strategies, we are mainly going to be looking at your attitude towards the game. Essentially we are looking to recruit knights with friendly attitudes and who will try their best to improve.
What do we have to offer you?
[1] All officers and many of the core members of the guild have been playing for a while and are Tier Three geared. We are more than willing to assist you in progressing in the game and are willing to help out on runs or providing advice as to gearing or strategies. We are very approachable and true to our guild vision, we are friendly people! Don't hesitate to ask us if there is anything you need help with, if it is within our means that is.
[2] A friendly guild to hang your hat. Being a member of The Company, you are a part of a group of likeminded people who want to enjoy the game and to do so in the company of others. Feel free to chat or goof around if you're not on a run, but keep in mind, rudeness, ignorance, and immaturity are not tolerated as we feel this detracts from the atmosphere and only makes the game less enjoyable to others.
[3] For you potential Tier Three knights, we do have experience with Tier Three runs including Firestorm Citadel. Apart from emphasizing and fostering a beneficial attitude in game, we do aim to play the game as well as we can and thus you can expect, as a member of The Company, that our guild runs will be taken seriously. Our belief is that if you want to play the game, play it. Meaning that if you take part in a run with us, please have the courtesy not to fool around (unless that is what everyone in the group wants), and we will do the same. Expect our runs to go smoothly and successfully. Furthermore, we are considering getting some Shadow Lair runs in as a guild in the near future.
[4] We are constantly doing Arena runs, Jelly King runs, sometimes Vanaduke (depending on how many capable players are online), and more recently a lot of Pumkin King runs to get masks for everyone. There is bound to be something for you to participate in.
Guild Policies and Rules
[1] We have a no tolerance policy to the following, and will not hesitate to kick those who violate these rules:
[a] Whining and Begging
[b] Rudeness towards other members
[c] Immaturity
[d] Deliberately ruining another member's experience in game
[e] Offensive language (whether it be in Haven or in guild chat, we'd like to foster a reputation of agreeable and friendly players, please don't give us a bad name).
[2] In runs, we expect you to follow general etiquette. This will be explained during your trial run but is pretty much common sense, and of course you aren't expected to be able to follow all of this immediately. Examples:
[a] If you need to leave early for any reason, be courteous and drop your vials and vitapods for those continuing deeper into Clockwork.
[b] If circling, please circle in the same direction as the rest of the party members. No one likes it when they strafe into a large pack of construct!
[c] We ask that you be willing to save spots for guildies that would like to join in on a run.
[d] If you join in on a purpose specific run, ie: Pumkin King run, or Arena run, please be patient for gate changes. If you don't want to wait for the gate the change to arena, then don't join the arena run!
[e] Etc. You'll come to know the rest of our policies regarding etiquette as time comes.
Guild Structure
[Guild Master] The one and only Mandcompany
[Officer] Promotion to officer is based on a vote amongst current officers. We do expect all officer ranked individuals to have access to Tier Three and play the game to the best of their ability.
[Veteran] Members can be promoted to Veteran rank when they have displayed a positive attitude and have been seen to contribute to the guild atmosphere. These are members who participate in guild runs and are active in chat. Veterans are the heart of The Company and are promoted to this rank as a small token of gratitude.
[Member] Promotion to this rank signifies that you are a full-fledged member of The Company. You have gone on a trial run with one or more of the officers and we think we might like you! Members are encouraged to participate in guild activities and to go on guild runs.
[Recruit] This rank is reserved for those who have just joined us. They have yet to go on a run with an officer so we have no idea if you are a good fit in our guild. Recruits are expected to ask an officer to go on a trial run. Promotion to Member will follow what we deem to be a successful run.

This is a preliminary questionnaire that is more for fun that for anything else. It'll give us an idea of who you are we'd like that you have these answered when you contact us in game. Copy these questions in a post and answer them:

We hope that this wall of text gives an impression of our dedication to making The Company a great guild, and on the other hand, by having the ability to read through all this, we're certain you have the maturity and intelligence we're looking for in new guildies. We look forward to meeting you in game!
See you in Clockwork!
Fixed some typos and the like.
The Great Wall of Text is now a little bit more well crafted and just a bit more intimidating =]
