or you could try polairis, but since you got an elemental weapon, try for the supernova (yes i know nobody uses it but i have an avenger and a prisma driver, no more elemental weapons for me)
@Wezz There is an unfortunate reason practically no one uses a Supernova, it is hard to find a situation were it would be noticeably better than the Polaris. The Polaris is weak to Beasts and Gremlins, but Supernova is way too slow to use vs Beasts. And Gremlins will dodge both weapons, making them less than ideal to begin with. The Supernova should do slightly better damage to Fiends/Jellies than a Polaris but the difference is so small that it should not change the number of shots to actually kill them, especially after you add in shock damage.
The biggest reason Polaris wins over Supernova though is that it'll do bonus damage to 2/3 turrets and the shock assists in interrupting turret attacks. Supernova's versatility and higher damage just can't make up for this. I was going to make a Supernova for myself but couldn't actually figure out why I'd want to. Not sure what the game designers had in mind, exactly.
@Qaljin Yeah, if you like the weapons just keep upgrading them. The AP has limited use, being only really useful for FSC, but even there Polaris or Blitz Needle are technically better choices (and useful outside FSC!) And as Bopp pointed out, grab a 4th weapon slot then a Flourish to complete your initial armament.
If you haven't already, read the wiki page on Damage. It teaches that (at least for swords and guns) you want a piercing weapon, an elemental weapon, and a shadow weapon. This is true even if you have only two weapon slots. Am I correct in inferring that you use three weapon slots at a time?
Nightblade goes to Acheron, which is a fantastic shadow sword. Your other choices for shadow are Gran Faust, Umbra Driver, and Biohazard. The only shadow bomb, Graviton Vortex, isn't really about damage.
Avenger goes to Divine Avenger, which is about as good as any elemental weapon, so that's fine.
For a piercing weapon, consider Final Flourish, Barbarous Thorn Blade, Callahan, Blitz Needle, or Dark Briar Barrage. Any of these will completely change your view of fiends and beasts.
Silversix goes to Argent Peacemaker, which is undesirable because it does split non-normal damage. Okay, it's pretty good against undead and fiends, but it's quite bad against everything else, and there are better guns against undead and better guns against fiends. So I recommend that you stop work on that one.
