Invisible Players in Lockdown

...I'm not insane right? I've been seeing them and they're not all recons. This is a taaaaad bit annoying. And I'm on low quality/compatibility mode. I don't think there's a way to force this to a particular player's advantage but it can shift tides in battle.
Maybe this is a partial bug report, but it's in discussion, to see if anyone has any counters to this or they just let it go or what? Or is it not as common as it seems?
Don't worry, I have no qualms about dying, I do it enough regularly, but I'm usually able to get a hit in on the ones I can see.

I've noticed auto-aim still tracks them, at least. It doesn't completely counter it, but it helps a little. When I've noticed that little reticle, I got plenty of warning.

@Debianlinux , do you use compatibility mode? Because I use that in addition to low quality.
@Duskdash hmm, that is a good use for auto target, but I'm usually bombing off the first attack, then I switch to my sword before I die to get in a few pokes. I guess it can sorta help but it won't be as instantaneous.
I've found two main ways to detect them:
Strikers: the trail they leave gives them away dead easy. Prob the easiest. Same with guardian shields.
Or if you're playing recon, just wander around with your cloak on and try to get marks.
But suddenly seeing bombs drop out of nowhere, or a barrage of polaris shots appearing in front of you, is never fun :c

@Negimasonic it's a bug, OOO is aware of it. Apparently I was invisible to some players playing LD yesterday too.
Didn't help me sneak up on those auto-aiming snarby strikers though. >:|

I believe if you switch to med graphic mode you can see them.
Cheers.

One of my guildmates was invisible to me in the clockworks earlier and I switched to medium graphics and still couldn't see her. /shrug
And this is annoying, not just because it's unfair, but because the first invisible knight I came across didn't realise he was invisible and was giving it all that "lol you guys SUCK hahahaha" in game chat. Can't stand undeserved cockiness.

Rawr. Can't see me? I'll just stab you in the back then!
Anyhow, what I do is scroll through all graphics options, and back to low, and it usually works out.
If it doesn't for you, then I'm not sure of what else can be done about the issue.

Yep, the ghost knights is a bug... although you can still see them depending on their class.
Strikers still leave the trail behind when dashing around, recons still do the little glimmer effect when they come out of/go stealth mode, and guardians make a rather obvious target when their area shield is up. And if they're using a weapon from the Cutter line the ghostly 2nd swing gives away their position also.
@Evilduck
If it makes you feel better I was evidently the first invisible knight one guy came across and got reported for hacking even with half the players telling him it was a bug. Yes... I hacked the game to make me invisible. Seriously, if you could hack the game would anybody use it for a paltry POSSIBLE 80 crowns every 5-8 minutes? I think not.

It's Halloween, of course there are going to be ghosts running around geez :P

^I actually laughed a little at that.

^me too, and OOO is aware as said above (ive seen several in the past day or so)

It's a bit annoying. Same as the odd time it'll give a knight the wrong color (which will occasionally give them the other team's color. Which is either hilarious or irritating, depending on mood)
Things I've noticed:
You're never invisible to yourself
Invisible knights aren't invisible to everyone
Playing on med. graphics doesn't fix it for everyone (know it doesn't for me)
Respawning makes the knight visible again

I suppose i should jump into some PvP and take advantage of this. Unfortunately, i am ALWAYS invisible. Sorta sucks regularly. Everytime i die in clockworks my team and i have to play...MARCO?...POLO!!! to rez me. Sigh.
May as well use it to my advantage and jump in lackdown. Woohooo. Bugged pierce swords that damage before they swing. Extra gun/bomb nerf by raising HP as a means to try and balance broken sword damage. Now me running around invisible. LACKDOWN LOOKOUT, I'M COMING HOME!!!
But in all honesty, i really just need to hurry up and grab 130 coins for a recipe :)

lol, if you're not joking...do it in tier 2 at least :P

I have experienced a few invisible players in t1 lockdown, and for many games I was told by other users that I was invisible. (I play random t1 enough that I have friends who often end up on the other team).
I was running Vanaduke a few hours ago and halfway through d26 one of the other players became invisible to me. I could see the circle on the minimap, see his speech bubbles, see him catch on fire (see the fire floating and moving, not him)... just not his knight.
Moved graphics from low to medium, he was still invisible. Turned compatibility mode off - he showed up. Turned compatibility mode back on and he was still visible. So, if you are experiencing invisible players (in lockdown or outside), try toggling compatibility mode.
For those who don't know, compatibility mode is found by clicking the Advanced button near the graphics slider.
If you try this let us know if this works for you!

ah. I was going to make a thread on this, but it seems u beat me at it.
yeah, happened to me too. All the guardians were invisible, and i kept on being attacked by invisible enemies. don't know if hack/cheat/glitch/compute problem, but it was annoying. I saw a shock spasm the air, which meant that there was someone invisible waas shocked. i killed him =D
good thing is that my team still won that match.

oooooooo! you hacked! unless you're being sarcastic. =P

only if you give me all your CE and crowns, including that from vendoring all of your equipment (sans the initial armor/weapons) :D
This is one of the few times in my life that having a sub-par computer has paid off.
I am not experiencing this issue because my graphics adapter apparently isn't capable of reproducing the problem in question. I always run low quality because I have to.
