I've seen this program and I've downloaded it several times, dragging a copy of the SK folder onto my desktop and placing it in it. At first its a archive file meaning its extract-able. But I've looked around AND seen a tutorial and now I know for sure it runs on Java. So I right clicked and clicked properties and changed the program to Java. I opened it again and it a quick cmd with code on it popped out in a small window and disappeared in a split second (command line). I saw two others who had this problem and it got fixed automatically. However for me nothing is happening. Oh yea and I have tried extracting the file, its just a bunch of files used in the program. Also I do not know what the command line is its really quick. And yes I am paying for fix!!!
Just place your ign with the fix and who knows maybe you will be getting cr in your mail pretty soon!
Spiral Spy! Paying For Successful Fix

Doom-Dude
I haven't used SpiralSpy before, because I am not interested in accessories at all.
But from the download link I can see it's a JAR file. A JAR file is actually just a ZIP file, with a specific file (namely, META-INF\Manifest.mf) always present. The manifest.mf file is there to contain information about the Java classes inside the JAR file.
In SpiralSpy's manifest, it already contains a Main-Class attribute. By default Java installs the file association allowing you to simply double click such a JAR to run it.
Your descriptions do not give a very clear picture of what you've done, but it seems likely that you've messed up your file association for JAR files. In that case a simpler solution is to uninstall and reinstall Java Runtime. That should put the file association back for you.
Or you can try running it via command line:
1. Start menu | Run
2. Type "cmd" and press ENTER
3. Change directory to where SpiralSpy's JAR file is (e.g. cd C:\SpiralSpy)
4. Type "java -jar spiralspy-1.0.jar" and press ENTER.
5. SpiralSpy should run. In my case, since I don't have Spiral Knights installed, it prompts me to put spiralspy-1.0.jar into Spiral Knights' directory.
6. If that works, you can create a new shortcut with the Target box saying "java -jar C:\SpiralSpy\spiralspy-1.0.jar".
No reward is necessary.
