I'm trying to figure out which gun to pick up and some solid numbers would really help.

I've only been able to find Alchemers being compared to Polaris so far.

I'm not looking for opinions on the guns, just straight numbers.

I may be able to help...

I don't have a valiance, but I do have:

Nova driver
Hail driver
Neautralizer
Biohazard
Polaris
Supernova

If I remember to pay attention I can get some numbers vs different opponents in t3...

(add me ingame for a demonstration/my opinion of each if you like)

I have a Valiance and the

I have a Valiance and the numbers on the Wiki are accurate:

http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Valiance

You are looking at 90-100 for the regular shot against all enemy depending on your depth. It does 90 to the duke phase 1,3,5 and should do more like 100 to the mask, but I can't confirm because I always use my buffed Ascended Calibur for the Mask.

The Valiance shots fast, large projectiles rapidly and does a little bit of knockback too.

Valiance's damage is listed,

Valiance's damage is listed, but none of the Alchemer's or Catalyzer's damage is.

Which surprises me a lot, actually, since I thought people typically liked Alchemers more than Valiance and the Catalyzers are new, so people would want to harvest info on their effectiveness.

Either way!

I'd appreciate any results, Bindi-Badgi, since the only 5* gun I have is Argent Peacemaker.

The only numbers I think I would need are the standard damage of Valiance, Nova Driver and Biohazard. [Since all alchemers are 20% weaker than Nova Driver, and .. I think I heard Neutralizer's damage is more or less equal to Biohazard. Not sure on that, actually...]

The "Super Effective!" damage is calculated with a standard multiplier for all weapons, I thought, so I could figure that out myself too unless I'm wrong about that.

Your question is going to

Your question is going to require all weapons to be equal heat, depth, UV, and gear buffs. As well as data from weak, neutal, and strong resistance families for all of the non-normal guns.

The Nova Driver I believe does about 1/5 more damage then the Status Alchmers. The Nova Driver does about the same damage as the expanded Polaris shots, but ~10% more then the Polaris's unexpanded shots. This is just junk I remember from doing similar data searches myself. I have no idea about Catalyzers though.

For Polaris vs Alchemer vs Valiance you can compare the Wiki's Valiance and Polaris Stratum 6 numbers:

http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Polaris
http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Valiance

Nova Driver numbers (at least for the regular shot) will be the same as the Polaris expanded numbers and all of the other Elemental Status Alchemers will be about 1/5 of that. I'm not sure about the Umbra Driver, but it doesn't inflect status so I would bet money that its numbers are just like the Nova Driver only for different families.

Check out this thread for a few numbers:

Alright, that works. I can

Alright, that works. I can compare Polaris [and Alchemers, by proxy.] to Valiance.

Now I just need some data on Biohazard and Neutralizer.

I think your comparison will

I think your comparison will get a bit sticky once you get into the Catalyzers.

*danger wild speculation ahead*
I believe they will not see their true potential unless you stack up charge attacks and detonate. This will make comparing numbers murky because there could be huge differences in time and you will be looking at charge and regular attacks together. Really have a feeling that they are a very situational gun with at ton of potential, but not the best choice for general purpose.

Well yeah, the charge is

Well yeah, the charge is certainly a major draw.

But still, the info would be much appreciated.

Even if it was "murky" it's better than now, which is "choosing a gun solely based on random people's opinions".

Biohazard is the undesputed

Biohazard is the undesputed king imo :p
ie: in t2 against jk it does 100 damage(poi) x3 every 1.5 sec in t3 the damage pretty much doubled also charge explosions does two time more than regular shot with in 2 block radius.
Umbra+Nova+Polaris+Magma(proc) have pretty much same damage output little bit less little bit more depends on procs and monsters status resist

Numbers Numbers

sigh..

Nova Driver : 200~
Umbra Driver : 205~ (I've only SD but asked for it)
Callahan : 230~
Polaris : 160~ unexpanded 190~ expanded - shock 17ish per tick
Magma Driver : 170~ fire dot : 320~ over 8 sec(1 tick every 2 sec) on the begining of t3 and will steadly increase in every depth
Hail/Storm Driver : Should be the same with magma and pulsar so 170~ per bullet (shock the same) (Thav dmg differs according to monster family)
Biohazard : 150~
Blitz : 1shot in pointblank range.

Damage increases or decreases depends on your gear, mobs armor and status resist/inmunity

Greetz! Got 18 guns atm and

Greetz! Got 18 guns atm and looking forward to have every gun ingame <3 ^^

I mainly used to use Callahan, Polaris and Biohazard. Then I added Blitz Needle wich is so awesome, outdamaging most other weapons but is hard to use. How ever, later I added all the alchemers and made Fire, Ele (none stat) and Shadow to 4* to look if they're good.

I like Nova Driver over Magma Driver, because the DpS is just higher, even with the fire dot. But I like Biohazard over Shadow Driver due the crow control and poison. The damage is about the same so ... just harder to use ^^ I like that ^^

So, if you gonna stay on Swordie, you shouldnt take Biohazard or any other fulltime-job, support, crow control weapon o.o
If you ask about Valiance, Biohazard or Alchemer, I recommend you Magma Driver (if you dont use gun damage tinkers its better than Nova Driver, due fire dot is not affected by dmg bonus).

I can show you everything you want, so you can pm me :)

Biohazard: 156 per shot and

Biohazard: 156 per shot and the charge will do 247 at D21 against Jellies. (also technically it's 247+156 since you count the bullet that triggers the explosion.)

Now don't forget the splash

Now don't forget the splash and the poison but image the time you used a charge would be 1-2 more shots. Its very strong against 2 mobs+ to use "shot, shot, charge" for no reload and allways charge splash poison :D

Alchemer

Hail driver is FSC depth 25 does 158 DMG per normal shot, and freezes every 1/2 or 1/3 times. Two charges kill a slag with a party of four if you get it right. (Here's a tip: In order to make most - all alcheme bullets hit a target, release the charge when your enemy is rushing towards you. So far, works on tier 3 kats and slags, and the lichen colony creature as well. If all shots hit on a slag in FSC, the damage is approximately 700-800.) Remember, this is tests with the hail driver. Freeze was not taken ink account. Lastly, charge shot I'm estimating has a 7/8 chance to freeze a slag.
