So anyone who's been watching me on youtube knows that doing RJ solo has been a thorn in my side for quite a while. I know other people have done it before, and even with lower spec gear, but somehow even though I could make it through easily in a team (even a lousy one at that), I could never quite manage it alone.

Now, however, thanks mostly to the latest patch, I've finally done it. The run isn't MLG or even remarkably clean, but it's a success none the less.

hmm...

The sad thing about new royal jelly king is that 3-hit on single 360-spin attack is still possible, even with the new hugging repellent feature. Props to you for not doing that.

@Poopsie I actually don't even have a Calibur-line sword, so I couldn't use that technique even if I wanted to. (And I'm honestly not a huge fan of it in the first place)

I'm pretty sure the Nightblade line is going to become the weapon of choice for RJ now that he's weak to shadow. It's a bit easier to pull off charge attacks, and all the explosions will generally hit him when you do. Using an FoV or a Levi is still an option, but as you said the head-butt makes it a lot harder to pull off reliably. Of course the Faust/GF will continue to be a favourite as well.

That said, pretty much any 3* or better non-piercing weapon will do the job.
