I think it would be nice to have an added function to mail with attachments. A COD (Cash on Delivery... well, Cr or CE on delivery)

You create a mail that has an attachment and put the fee in the COD location. When the recipient of the mail opens it, they can read the body of the mail but they cannot retrieve the attached item(s) without paying the COD costs by hitting an "accept COD" button. If they decline the COD, the item is delivered back to the sender. If they accept, the payment is delivered back to the sender.

Functionality for both Crowns and Crystal Energy would be optimal.

I think it would clean up interactions like seeing that recipe a guildie wanted or completing transactions from the Bazaar forum without having to meet up in game.

While I suport the idea in

While I suport the idea in theory, I would much rather them have to enter the crown/energy cost manualy. Many folks simply hit accept and deleat on mail, I can definatly see a spree of scaming with people CODing scrap metal for 20k crowns to have people accept by rote if this hit live as you describe. Thus as a saftey mesure the accept buton will be un available untill the reciepiant has entered the prescribed amount of cr/ce.

Adding a rebound setting would also be desired. By which i mean if someone neither accepts or declines and instead lets it sit in there mailbox, it will automaticly return to sender after a time period (default of a week, but setable by sender).

"Many folks simply hit accept

"Many folks simply hit accept "

No offense but if they are that careless, they deserve it.

If COD was in place from the

If COD was in place from the begining you might be right, but with the way mail is now simply hitting accept is fast and consiquence free, thus the transition would be ripe for abuse. Also for birthdays, or sometimes general laughs, my freinds will try and get as many people as posible to send the recipiant mail with 1-10cr, its funny and requires manual clearing of mail. If a scammer tried to do that you could easily throw the COD in the pile.

Part of good safety design is to think of how people will screw something up and make it harder, game design is similar, but the thought is ways people can abuse a mechanic instead of ways they can cut of their fingers off with a circular saw.

Cash on Delivery; Yes, please.

I'm with Juances on this one. Clicking 'accept' without a second thought is a result of your own carelessness and deserves no sympathy. Besides, such fatalities can be easily countered with a confirmation pop-up before accepting the fee. If then you still manage to recklessly click 'accept', you really are a lost cause.

I think the idea is good, and would relieve a lot of timezone-hassles and schedule maintenance for busy players. I support this idea. +1

Frosty, you make a good

Frosty, you make a good point. Perhaps an additional pop up "Are you sure?" box, similar to the learning recipe, etc message box that pops up.

If someone wanted to turn it off, the option could be added to the warnings/messages menu in the settings interface.

I think that would effectively combat any scammers and ne'er-do-wells.
