Thanks for this post Kngster. I could have done with this before trying to sell my Buds, but I've got up to a 12.5k CE offer from taking bids so I'm happy the market 'normalized' my auction for me and people were fair with their offers. I have actually read in a few threads how 'honest' TF2 players are with pricing and I suppose that's thanks to the 'spreadsheet' that most people conform to =]

Says who you? I'm getting 450 CE per refined & 1100 Ce per key. I don't care what you list but I'm telling you now there is no way I will be trading for 350 CE per. We've been over this before. This game is a totally different kettle of fish.

Kngster has buds priced at 11.5-13k CE.
Guess what, I've been taking offers on my buds for 3 days now and they started at 9k and have crept up to ...... dun dun dunnnnnnnn .... 13k CE!
It's actually an offer from Kngster himself which has pipped several others' offers of 12.5k CE.
An item is only 'worth' what people will pay for it, and in this respect Kngster was bang on with the buds. I've heard from many others that what used to be 450CE per ref is actually around 350-375.
If you are getting 450 still, then good for you! Keep on tapping that resource! But this thread is valid in that it provides a decent, CURRENT, base-rate for people new to TF2 <--> SK trading so they don't end up selling their buds for only 8k CE like many have recently on the forums >.>
The market always proves the actual worth of items, and good for you if you're getting above normal, but don't slate a thread based on the market because of your anomolous results, pl0x

@twacker: Well, ive been buying @ 300-350 and sometimes, 400 - and ive probaby bought WAYYY more Ref/Keys than you. So im just saying the prices I buy @ the most and taking that into consideration as the normal price. This isnt a strict guideline, merely a list to help players get the feel of Weps>Scrap>Rec>Ref>Keys>Bills>Buds>Max's. And the exchange rates from Keys>Buds, Buds>Max's, etc, but in the medium of CE.

Another buyer trying to push his low prices on sellers. Nothing new here. I recently sold my Refineds at 415 each and only because I was in a hurry.
