Now that the October event has come and gone and Shadow Lairs have launched, I wonder what you are working on next.
More PvE content?
New Equipment?
New Colosseum modes?
Or maybe something entirely new...

@ Happyapathy
O dear god not another Keyception @_@
A new type of energy...used to unlock gates within the Swarm. Only obtainable from the aforementioned Golden Chests.
I'm guessing a row of slot machines in Haven.
Some neat new improvements are on the way, two of which you will be able to test in an early form tomorrow. So keep an eye on the Testing forum!
No, you are totally wrong.
Quote from the newest patch notes for November 13th:
"We will release the new shadow boxes that you need shadow keys to unlock, within a shadow box you may find the fabled gold key that will open the new gold boxes. If you are lucky, and spend 50$ on the new slot machines you get from the gold boxes, you can get a exclusive platinum key that will unlock the new platinum lockboxes. Platinum lockboxes are obtained after you defeat the horrible darkfireplasma vanaduke in the new UUFSC you can unlock by using 3 platinum keys. When opening a platinum lockbox, you may find the uberhaxxrare snipe hat! (PS: Due to snipes nature, it might fly off when its attracted by the sweet scent of a waiting female, or flashing lights. Thus deleting itself from your inventory.)"
In all seriousness though, probably something awesome coming our way ^^

Update:
Quote from Nick on the test forums:
The test server will be open tomorrow, Friday, November 4, from 10am to 10pm pst.
There are two new features we would appreciate you checking out:
Arsenal Stations
Arsenal Stations are now located near the start elevators of most levels in the Clockworks. Arsenal Stations allow you to change your gear or loadouts before facing the challenges of a level. To use an Arsenal Station, simply stand on the mat in front of one and open your Arsenal.
Energy Rezzing Effects
Energy rezzing now comes with an explosive energy blast that pushes monsters away from you, damages them and even stuns them! There are four levels of blasts that are automatically performed as the cost of rezzing rises. The Ui will eventually tell you which level of rezzing you are about to perform. Currently it does not.
How to Test
Simply head toward the Arcade and pick any gate to explore. Most levels will have Arsenal Stations (boss stratums will only have one Arsenal Station on the first floor) and all levels will allow you to experiment with the new energy rezzing.
So swap your gear a bunch and uh... die a lot.
Thanks for testing!
I really hope that is included :P
Since it's quite painful having a Triglav, that doesen't want to do the full combo most of the time :/
I really hope we get a 1 on 1 PvP mode! Or a Free for all or something like that.
Cheers,
~W

Interesting. I hope it hasn't been 30 days since Shadow Lairs launched so I still have access to the test server. Probably not big changes, but I always like to get a taste of what's coming.
Wow, Arsenal Stations sounded extremely broken until I read
"(boss stratums will only have one Arsenal Station on the first floor)"
My only question is, can you swap your gear at any point during the stage? Might make danger rooms a little easy if you can swap at any time during the level.
The energy rezzing effect sounds EXTREMELY useful for UFSC or potentially against the Swarm, when stuff piles on top of your body and you have trouble clawing your way out.
Edit: This probably belongs on the testing forum, but will the testers have access to Shadow Lairs on test server during this testing phase?
Arsenal stations are only located by the start elevators, so by the time you reach something like a Danger Room, you've still got whatever you had at the start of the level.
"Arsenal stations are only located by the start elevators, so by the time you reach something like a Danger Room, you've still got whatever you had at the start of the level."
I understand that, but unless a Party Pad prevents you from backtracking, it could be possible to go back to the Arsenal station and swap gear. Not every stage with a Danger Room has a Party Pad preventing you from going back to the entrance when you stumble upon it (I may be mistaken though).
"Not every stage with a Danger Room has a Party Pad preventing you from going back to the entrance..."
But every arsenal station does!
"But every arsenal station does!"
I c wut u did thar
I definitly like the sound of the arsenal stations, though. Hopefully it will take away a lot of the
uneasyness when buying/using specific damage type weapons.
Well, I feel like this "arsenal station" is basically going to negate any effort a person should put into planning gear for an entire run, basically negating what little difficulty this game had left.
Unless this comes with a LOT more variety per level for monsters again instead of restricting it to one or two types per level, I will probably never see the point in using one of these stations.
I'd only recommend such stations at the "series" levels (Aurora Isles, Jigsaw Valley, Candlestick Keep, Concrete Jungle, etc.), and leave the "common" levels (Clockworks Tunnels, Arenas, and Deconstruction Zones) as is. Either way, my arsenal is so small it won't really affect me.
Even though I'm not a tester of this content, not sure how I feel about the arsenal at all normal stages. On one hand, it'll definitely help with general exploration,
"Accidentally come prepared for fiends and then come up with a jelly stage? Here's a free switch."
On the other hand, it does seem like it makes things easier. But I don't think so much so that it breaks anything. Especially since boss stratums won't allow you these switches, so the whole "come prepared for a whole stratum" still is true there. [Though when I need to, I just leave to haven and return to the party anyway]. An extra 10 energy is worth it :-)
Energy rezzing sounds interesting. As long as there's no additional cost, this is just super awesome. While you'll never want to have to use it, it's definitely welcome.
From what I've read, there are party pads for each arsenal section at the beginning of each depth. Does this include pre-existing, static levels like Sky Islands, Boss stratums, and so on, since their maps don't change randomly like other depths?
This will be useful for when you are heating something like a 3* item, and it hits level 5.
Instead of going up at the previous elevator, then joining your guildmates/friends without your vitapod & vials, you can now change out that now-ready 3* weapon and heat something else.
This will also be nice for general weapon swapping to mix things up.
@Nick
Looking at your latest "What's in development" update from August, it seems that everything that was hinted at has been released. (I think the crash site redux was done, but I have err... been too busy to check it out.) Do you plan to release another one of these to tease us?
Does the blast from rezzing include times you are given health from a party member, or just times you pay energy to revive yourself?
@Sypsy I completely agree on heating items. It will be really nice to be able to switch out after they hit level 5 or 10.
Wouldn't we all like to know?
