Where are all the Scarves?

There's a section for a Scarf accessory in the Wiki.
Simply put, there are none showing up on the Auction House.
Are they really that rare, or are they just unused in the game just like that Helmet with the cat ears in the early months of the game?

well exileddread has either 50% or 33% of the scarves....he has 1.

I've seen at least one scarf on someone in game and a one other on the Auction House. They're just really rare.
