Im sure many of us have a guild here. Would be interesting to know how u got into your current guild.

We can create some guild awarness here too.

I was in one piece guild that time. I was made an officer and we were gaining heights. However, i left one piece and joined active. I have some dispute over there and thus i was removed. All alone and unknown, i went to create CDG. CDG was born on July 16th. I wanted to create a guild name that is elegant and classy. Coup De Grace was born! Up till now, it had been a humble guild in SK!

We went thru up and down when we started CDG. Getting loyal players to our new guild is a hard thing to do. However, with preservation and determination, we managed to be one of a guild in SK. Esp thanks to my officer who is sticking by me. (Leafxc) He's the one who saw the early days of CDG.

I would like to sees some stories from players too.

Best reg

Hi Icy!

My story is a funny one actually. I joined what was a very well known guild called Stars at around the time of Steam's release. This was back when being a 4 star player was extremely cool and no one knew you could buy energy from the market :) Anyways my GM, over the next few weeks, saw that me and a few of my guildies were doing well, so we gradually got promoted to Officers. Then, one of the officers got very power hungry and whoever did even the slightest thing to im got kicked. Since OOO lets officers kick officers, I logged in one day to find out I had been kicked (though I hadnt talked to this particular player in quite some time).

Needless to say I went around guildless for quite some time. Then I heard rumor that a few of the officers/vets of Stars had created Timeless, a guild appropriately named given the circumstances. I was instantly made officer, and when me and my former Stars guildie Sg-Hotsauce began to solo vana no pills soon after, we were made GMs due to the fact that our leader got consumed by school. I guess he thought we were the best choices :)

I am interested to here more stories like mine!

Interesting stories. Well

Interesting stories. Well here's mine:

I jumped around a couple guilds while I was still a complete noob. Before my current guild, I was with the Dark Side (joined it because it was "The Darkside" xD). Anyway, I noticed that it went inactive and I really didn't know a single person in the guild even after being on it for quite some time. I figured, "what's the use of guilds anyway?" My brother and I considered creating a guild that would be the complete opposite of the Darkside, but it never happened because my bro loved TF2 too much and wasn't too fond with the MMOPRG style. Well, my question eventually did get answered. That's when a couple of others and I decided to start AFK. We've had our ups and downs, but it's the only reason I play SK now. It's got an awesome bunch to be with, even though quite quirky at times, and is decently active. From that, I knew the point of guilds: to have fun with other people more easily.

The story of my guild "The Risen" begins with the second guild I ever joined. (The first being something I randomly joined when I was a noob because someone invited me and nothing really happened with that at all) This second guild, however, was good and fairly active. That went on for a month or so but then one day I was online and the GM signed on and started removing players, ie. deleting the guild. (He would later state that OOO removed his guild because of an inappropriate name) Since I was online during this, after the guild was gone I created "The Risen" and invited everyone who was in the previous guild. My main goal was to make sure people didn't feel like poof their guild was gone. Since then it's been about 4 or so months and we're going strong.

What Dark Ritual?

Well, as many of you know, I am the GM of Knights and Day. Alas, this has a story.

I was in 3/4* Gear at this time, wondering around guildless. A mail pops up in my Mailbox; Of course I check it.

A invitation to a guild called "Whisperwind" created by "Whisperwind." I staid there a bit, sadly they didn't do much, but we did have fun around.

After being there for about a Week and 1/2, I left, to create my own guild.

After thinking for a while, and finding a good name thy wasn't taken, it hit me.

Knights and Day. Now, I am happy with my, no, I can't say that. I am happy with our guild.

Thanks guys. :)

My first guild was formed by my old TF2 clan. After a time all but me and one other person stopped playing; I guess most were just in it for the hat. Later, a TF2 friend of mine joined Knightmare. When I heard that they craft things for other guild members for free, I wanted in on the action. I enjoyed myself for a time there. How I ended up in my current guild is a story for another day.

Funny enough...

The first guild to take me on was one my friend was in. I didn't often accept invited to go to higher tier area's, but I did boost our guilds rating in PVP. They weren't happy that I wouldn't spend my CE to jump in on higher tier levels just to res them. I'm not a puppet. (The first two times I was kind enough to join a higher tier run to res them, they booted me after they were res-ed) So after I refused to be bullied, I was booted for telling the other players off for their rudeness. Their theory was I was there to serve them and their guild. I believe players should work together in Spiral Knights. I play daily and prefer a good run with chatty fun players. Shortly after I logged on one day to find a player who had been in the same guild had invited me to his guild. After a few weeks he needed to focus on schooling and IRL stuff so he made me Guild Master and now I am the leader of my own guild. All the players who WERE in the guild still are, I don't boot people for inactivity, only for rudeness or bullying. But I don't know them very well, and they are hardly ever on. It's kinda lonely at the top and having my own guild, but it's a hell of alot better then being bullied by other players. That's my story. Now I spend time recruiting new players and helping to get them started. :)

Cosmic Coincidence

This is not my current guild, but read it anyways. When blast network launched, i was hanging around haven with what I tought it was a very rare and unique combo: quicksilver mall and a Starry Bombhead. Guess what i found: another guy wearing the same combination. I joined his guild the next day.

Been recruited to Warriors of Hell because the GM is a Steam friend. Got off since it became inactive.

Got recruited to Sexy Beasts because I was a lone Wolver then, and I thought the guild would make sense. Became a GM and had a share of ups and downs (Hat tip to the late, great Nitrobullet for teaching me everything.)

I saw a bunch of Active knights hanging around infront of the AH. Figured I give it a try. Passed the FSC test. Got recruited so I left Sexy Beasts. The guild was cool. Later on got promoted to Veteran.

Active's then official GM came back and booted everyone. Long story short, they disbanded. Got recruited to the newly-formed Unity guild.

Then came a time I needed a brand new start...

Story Behind Eos

During Beta I joined a guild called Shneaky Knights

Was so happy to be in this guild they had some of the best players in Beta apart of this mighty guild, but after awhile everyone just went inactive. I did gain officer in Shneaky Knights but it really did not make a difference at all since I view guilds having 2 ranks:

1. Power to recruit
2. Member

Regardless I was really bored in this guild all it was Dogrock and I doing runs together along with some random friends outside the guild. So, one day I got real bored and I asked Dogrock if he would like to make a guild with me since I would be sad to leave my Dogrock all alone. He was like OMG YES and we did a little sexy dance and which lead to the bed about 3 hours after I wanted to make sure our guild would have a good base, so I went and found Tantarian 1 of my first friends in this game, and asked him if he would love to join. Tan was like Omg yes I would love it. Dog and I then had to decide on the guild name we had a few options and we had also had to decide to make the guild name a joke of a name or a serious name. This was hard for sure some example of funny Guild Names (Out there at that time):

Knight and Day
One Knight Stand

Regardless, we picked Echo of Silence since we both agreed on that =0.

The Day Eos was made I was surprised to see Cobalt (not the armor) had joined Eos along with Providence, Pieguy, Vlad, Jmbo, and so many others. Eos started out pretty solid and well thats how Eos was made. We sadly could not get all of our beta friends to join like Sharkiez =( He was still the founder of Knightmare and refused to join us, and Rose the head of Derp just went poof due to rl life.

One of my steam friends

One of my steam friends bugged me to join his guild named "Apostle", i befriended the main GM and some other members, so i figured i would stay in the guild for a while. After 2 weeks of being active i was ranked to officer, but a week later i noticed my rank was stripped and was demoted all the way to member because our main GM left and the idiot that was new demoted majority of the officers so i left the guild. After a few weeks of roaming alone, i got a random request to join the guild which was named "Penguins of Doom", i decided to give it a shot, but left after a couple days since it was inactive.

After the fail of my last guild, i decided to search for a good decent guild that doesn't have a stupid name, that is active, and most importantly laidback which lead me to the recruitment section of the forums. After lurking in the 1st page i noticed the name "Legends", which stand out from most of the threads. So i read the requirements and applied and in less than 24 hours i got the in game mail that i was accepted. Currently i stand as an officer for this wonderful guild.

If your interested in join, please refer to this thread

I joined one not too long

I joined one not too long after starting SK, it was fine for a while, I quickly outpaced most of the people in the guild though. Most of them at the time were still T2 and I had joined just entering into T2 and was T3.

One of the other members that was a good player had poofed to The Risen at the time. I wanted a guild that I could run T3 and do PvP with when it came out, so I ditched my officer spot to joined my friend's guild. Climbed the ranks by being active and helpful, and now I'm the other GM of The Risen along with Velcro. We do our best to keep the guild fun and active. Can't be doing too bad, our members are normally around 75-90 and don't have a terribly high turnover rate.

Send me a message in game if you want to join! :D

Guild foundation

It was actually formed by members of 2 forums:Wizard101 Central and Pottermore Central and that is what it consists of.
So a person on PMC told another person then I asked a good MMO, then I unintentionally spread the news.
It is a small but close guild called The Central Knights

I started playing in the

I started playing in the preview event at around march/april I believe when I finally got an invite into SK. I used to play puzzle pirates and joined a guild that had many players from ypp in the guild. That's when I met a few people we got a long really well. We were on skype so much and one night we were fighting the jelly king and we were cracking jokes about being "in the jelly" basically being the dirty minded beings we were and decided to make the guild on a whim just to be goofy. So there.. In the Jelly was created.

In beta they had awesome guild hall set ups where basically the more people you had in the guild the more things that were available to you in the guild hall. It was just us four or five at the time in beta. None of us were really interested in doing recruiting at the time and actually considered disbanding and joining another guild.

When release came along the guild was re-created and I pushed doing recruiting, and that's how we came to be how we are today. We're just an easy going and laid back guild that loves to have fun, but we also know how to play well. I'm the only original guild master that is still active in the game. Milkman is now my fellow guild master and we have fun.

Jempire

This may be considered a lame-ish story compared to some of the other ones out there, but I'll give it a shot anyways.

I started out in a guild called Dark Matterz (don't remember how I got there) and really enjoyed it. I even got my friend to join it with me. However, due to some reasons (probably participation in newly-made Blast Network PvP) he and another person who had joined after me got promoted to Officer. I became a little jealous and left Dark Matterz so to preserve my real-life friendship with that friend.

I wandered from guild to guild during that time: Immortal (I still miss you!), and Necromancerz included, until one day I happened upon a strange little name called 'Jempire'. I passed it by, and kept passing it until one day in August.

The Jempire hosted one of their Trivia events on August 29th (I think), and I and my Dark Matterz friend went to attend. He answered one question correctly and walked away with 4k; I came in first and achieved all 3* gear with their generous gift of 30k. However the guild master, Rubyeclipse, said the guild was full at the moment and friended me, saying he would talk to me once spaces opened up.

About a week later, he walks up to me and gives me a guild application, which I fill out. Then come the words. "Well, I'm sorry to say this, but.... you're in! Congratulations!"

Since then I have advanced from Recruit to Member to Veteran, and one day hope to be included in the ranks of the Jem officers.
Until then, there's always Vanaduck to eat. =3

Well, it was the release of the Blast Network and I wanted coins to buy the poison gun. So I farmed my butt off and as the days passed, I was at the point where I had no problem ranking 1st or 2nd. In one of the matches there was this guy named Sparky who was trying to hit top 10 for fun on the leaderboard. Well me and him get in a match. Then the next match and the next. So eventually it just got to the point we weren't surprised to see each other and we both did pretty good. I would rank first, he would rank first the next. Back and forth. He ended up inviting me to his guild I guess because he enjoyed how good I was doing.

Legends!

Long story short for my first guild: joined with 3 url friends to legendary. Went dead along with my friends.

I stayed for as long as I could because I liked the name, but I finally gave in. Posted in the forums to show off my (ironically well thought into) 'play resume.'
Our 1 of 2 awesome GM leaders decided to asked me in-game if I was interested. I realized that his guild had a similar name as my old one. The reassurance of people playing actively was also I great change for me. The overall net-vibes and generally good skilled players we have are great! (It's not our goal to be the best, we're just coincidentally are! muahaha)

Nothing exciting on my story of origins... It's the crazy derpin that goes now that counts.

These are always interesting

These are always interesting stories to me, so here's mine:

I started playing SK late in the preview (March, maybe?), so I really only had time to get my bearings, figure out the mechanics of the game, and decide how I wanted to play after the official launch (Bomberz4Life!). I didn't join a guild during that time, but I took note of the guild names that I saw most frequently.

After the official launch (at which time my wife also started playing) I was still guildless for a little while. By the time we achieved T2 access we decided it was time to find a guild, as running with PUGs could be problematic. I browsed the guild recruitment forum for a while, looking for one that would suit us. The ones I remembered from the preview were full or were looking for more hardcore players than we were at that point. Eventually I came across a post for the guild Spanish Inquisition, which described itself as "semi-casual". Since we were on frequently enough to not want a casual guild, and being a Monty Python fan, we applied to SI and got in. At that time SI was pretty active with a decent number of people on at any given time--everyone was friendly and helpful, and we advanced quickly in the game and made a lot of good friends, and I was eventually made an Officer (you can find some of my old SI posts, including our EPIC Snipe Herding event). Eventually, though, the GM and many of the older players left the game, and with so few guildies on at any one time, it was hard to recruit. The plus side of that was that those remaining all got to be pretty close.

There came a time, though, that we were frustrated with being unable to form full parties and felt like our progress in the game (along with the guild) had stagnated, so we started looking for a new guild. My wife had become friends with icycloud during a random PUG Jelly King run while icy was in Active, and they had stayed in touch since then. When we decided it was time to leave Spanish Inquisition, we saw that icy was on and went to talk to her, discovering that she was now in a guild called Coup de Grace. There were several other members of CDG around at the same time. We talked to icy for a while, along with some of the other CDG members, and decided we'd try them out. We first bid farewell and friended the remaining SI active players, then joined CDG. Shortly thereafter, most of the rest of the remaining SI actives also joined CDG, so we were able to continue playing with our old friends as well as make new ones. We've quite enjoyed our time in CDG, given how active and friendly it is. I've since become an Officer in CDG as well, and I'm happy to help with running the guild and supporting the members.

The Risen.

Shortly after I had gotten my 2* Cobalt Helm and my 2* Wolver Coat, I was recruited to the guild "Cobalt Warriors"
I was friends with one of the folks who formed the guild before that, and he invited me after he and a few other guys formed it.
I generally was n00b then so I didn't see how crappy the guild was. A couple weeks later I was recruited to the single officer in it.
A month or so later, a guild master left it, recruiting me to GM to take his spot. I was happy.
Two months later. I was the only active one in this guild.
If OOO had put in the thing which shows how long it has been since your guildie has played, it would have probably been a month.
I finally decided to leave this guild, and search for a new one. I generally put up a "Looking for guild" post in the forums.
Soon after that, I was recruited to the guild "Knight's And Day" a week or so later, I received a /tell.
Actually I don't even remember if I started a conversation and they she brought it up or if it was a offer.
Anyway, it was a offer to join "The Risen" I thought how "Knight's And Day" was a little inactive, most on at a time or so were 6.
A day or 2 later, I joined "The Risen" I didn't regret it. Right now it proves to be extremely active, and by far the best guild yet.
Proudly coming from a vet from my guild. I love it, best experience of SK for me has been with this guild.

Cheers,

~W

Guild?

I am not in any Guild. Each and every Guild that I have crossed upon just sent me invites without telling me anything, so rejected. Only ONE guild did such thing, I would have joined them but I have Spanish friends so they wouldn't have done well there (it was an English one).

Still hoping I can cross some Spanish guild that actually invites you.
