Lumbers and Curse

Something I have noticed, is that when an enemy performs an action while cursed, they will occasionally take damage. The damage they take is shown to the Knight who cursed them, however, Lumbers do not seem to be affected by the Curse status. Many a time have I cursed the wandering giants with my Grant Faust, but I have never seen them as much as flinch from the Curse. When they attack, nothing happens. They simply do not take damage. Why are Lumbers as the only mob, aside from mobs in the Undead family, unaffected by Curse? Is it a design flaw, or is there something about them that repels the effect? I felt this had to be addressed, and I would like to find some answers to it, be it from knowledgeable Knights or the developers themselves.

Thank you.

I have killed Lumbers with curse.

They can be cursed. Although, whenever a lumber hits another monster that is cursed it will cure the cursed monsters.

I don't think the hit removes curse but rather overrides it with the stun.

i asked the same question a

i asked the same question a while back, and the answer was that lumbers don't take damage from curse.
their overhead smash attack doesn't trigger the curse damage, but they don't have any other attacks either.

Not sure if it was designed like this or just a bug

@Broxaim

That is exactly what I want to know. It seems a bit odd that a non-Undead mob is practically immune to the Curse.

Way the attack is coded?

I think (don't quote me on this) it has something to do with the way the Lumbers attack is coded, as the damage is technically done by the AoE effect of their attack not the attack itself. Or, in other words, imagine the Lumber places a tiny bomb that goes off instantly at the location it strikes, the bomb hurts you, the Lumber merely placed it where it could do so.

Do Gremlin demos get hurt by curse if they use their mines? Because if not that might prove what I'm trying to say.

Also

I think that Jellies don't receive Curse damage in one of their attacks, I think it is the "spikes" one. Which, again, would be an "indirect" attack.

Edit: Gremlin demos do receive damage, because they "plant" the bomb, at least I have killed with Curse some of them in Arenas this way.

my experience with jellies as

my experience with jellies

as we know the jellies have 2 attacks, the standard dash attack and the ground spikes..
when i curse them, i've seen some jellies only take damage from the dash attack but not the projectile
sometimes only the projectile, but not the dash attack..
and sometimes both of their attacks..

but i haven't seen a jelly that doesn't take damage from curse from either of their attacks..

i think curse just doesn't effect lumbers.. it's fine really

Maybe the curse works on them

Maybe the curse works on them as on us..
When we get cursed, some weapons and items get cursed, and some dont, so we can safely attack with the non-cursed weapons..
So, maybe, when cursing an enemy, only one of its attacks gets cursed..
Still dont explain the lumber though, as it only has one attack..
