it's true the npc vendors wont give you a decent price unless your sell a 3*, then their buy price goes up to 3,500 i think. i haven't sold much 3* stuff to the vendors.

Just talk to a vendor and select the item on your inventory.
Still, NPC vendors don't have a decent buy price so you better trade with other players.
