Hey all, new to Spiral Knights and so far enjoying it, though I do have a question...
I know that PvP was introduced at some point in the beta, but is there any official or even rumored plan to implement it into the live game?
Thanks!

I haven't heard anything on it, but it's probably in the works.
The arrival of PvP in the future was confirmed in an interview on the fansite SEGABits, but the exact timing or rollout plan has yet to be revealed.
If PvP does arrive, I wonder how it is going to be handled out when it comes to players who have sucky equipment verses players who has strong equipment. Plus, that would mean that the swords that strike the fastest will always win. How are they going to balance that out?
If there is PvP coming I say that we should have separate equipment just to dedicate for PvP to avoid the un-balance.
@ Matoro Have you Pvped before??? Swords that strike the fastest only do like 2 bars on dmg. You havent pvped before, so don't get onto things you don't even know. Plus there are tier 1, 2, 3, and Ultimate Brawls that have gear restrictions that newer players can play without being owned by the experienced players.
I agree with Vlad that there will be protections and balance of some kind in the PvP environment, but, PvP as it existed in Beta was for testing purposes (and, unfortunately, I didn't participate... so I don't really know firsthand what it was like). The thing is though, that -anything- about how it worked then might be different now.
Chances are good that fast swords will still not hit as hard as slow swords, and that there will be at least three levels of equipment restriction, and so on. But the reason it's not in the game now is they're redoing it for the real version with the lessons learned from the beta version. Nobody knows what'll come out.
When it's done.
