The difference between vhigh asi and max asi on a striker with a FF/BTB is actually pretty big in lockdown.

That sword could fetch a lot as it can be very useful in PvE. Consider keeping it and getting another barb and rolling on that. The sword is very good for clockworks anyway, so you could regret it down the road.
Regardless, do NOT re-roll over it.

What is your armor you are wearing?
If you had a vog set, you'll have max asi w/ a striker. If you have a skolver set (or snarby), you'd have max damage.
You can use trinkets to fill in the gaps to get max asi/dmg. This means you could keep this sword and get trinkets to give you max asi while having good damage. Trinkets would be cheaper than rolling on another barb imo.

The gran faust will also benefit greatly from the higher attack speed. Does your GF have a uv on it? If it has a med asi, then you may want to try to get a med asi on your btb so you only require one asi trinket.

Edit: Well you apparently posted before I did. If you're going for a vog set, then don't re-roll, keep the thing. Focus on getting sword damage trinkets as they will buff the damage of both swords. It will also be very useful for PVE. As it sounds like you haven't arrived to the point where you are doing shadow lairs, I'm ignoring your intention to get snarby armor since your F2P method will mean it is much further down the road.

Edit 2: Prices, not sure. You'd have to do a search for the forums for the sword + "Ctr high" and look at what was recently sold. Unfortunately, a high sits in the middle. With a ctr med uv, you have a vhigh ctr at level 10, so you only require 1 focus trinket to get to max ctr. However, with a high, 1 focus trinket is too much, and 2 is too many, so it sits in this weird "not as desirable" state. However, it is still good as the difference between CTR levels is 0.25 of a second here.

ASI will be more expensive than CTR due to the advantage of ASI in lockdown.

It's a good plan. eventually when you do start doing fsc, the vog set will help learn the ropes there. It's a fun place once you can handle it.

Shame on the Vog cap's being sold for less than you could have got =\

Trinkets aren't that expensive if you purchase them with an alt (paid account vs free, separate computer, etc.) then it will only cost you 50CE per trinket. They last a month, so the cost is actually not that bad. You can also do this for a 3rd weapon slot which is very useful, the 4th weapon slot is not as necessary.

For lockdown, skolver is actually better than vog for a few reasons:
1) freeze immunity from shivermists
2) weapon asi UV's mean you don't need the asi trinkets and that means more flexibility (heart trinkets, for instance), but this can't be done for damage uv's for weapons

However, for clockworks, vog is generally prefered over skolver.

Given this, I would get do a hybrid of skolver/vog for all occasions. You can read more in the wiki.

Ya, the paid amount can be the smallest amount. Be careful, once you pay, the mental hurdle to pay the second time is a lot smaller.

The hybrid freeze resist won't be a full immune to shiver, so you'd still have to be careful, but it's still a good balance imo.

Problem with the snarby is getting it. It's definitely something that's further down the road.
If you had it, yes it'd be better as an "all round set" than a hybrid with skolver, but until then, the skolver/vog hybrid will work fine. if one of them has a shadow def UV, it'd be useful (I say vog, since you could use it in fsc.)

Further, the skolver would be useful for doing the snarby shadow lair since there would be a lot of pierce damage there.

Generally:
Hybrid first, then complete the sets, either vog or skolver, depending on what you want. you would change the gear according to what you need. If you had a snarby piece or two, you'd rotate accordingly later on.
