Every time i try to connect, i get a message under the 'login with sega pass' checkbox that says 'Failed to connect to the server.'
tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting, etc.
nothing worked :(
is the server down or am i the only one that cant connect?

Yeah i was only going based off the announcement. My definition of soon was 5 minutes at the time.
Most game updates takes time.. They say 30minutes and it extends to 1hour..
Example:
Dragonica, announcement saying 30minutes server maintenance.. then BANG.. changed to 2 hours.. then POW it's 4-6 hours.. LOLS!
Oh BTW, I think they're testing it atm.. to see if it works or something. Give it some time.

That's happening to me too. The worst part is, I am a first time player, and I would like to actually play, rather than stare at the login screen and change settings.
