I don't know if you guys already have one (I couldn't find it) but an Icon on the home page or its own page that tells us if the server is up or not. It would be really helpful/useful for many people who play your game. Thanks!

Updated Estimates!
I find the status to be relatively unimportant as I can check by tryign to log in. What I do dislike is a 45minute estimate that is already way past when I come online with absolutely no indication of a new estimate. I do understand that it's only an estimate and that unforeseen things happen but it would only take someone a minute or so to pop up a new post saying "unexpected problems, at least another hour" or "could be any minute now but we don't really know".

2 hours after the 45 minutes started and no new estimate but at least it's a sign of life :) [I'm guessing it's the "could be any minute but we just don't know" situation]
Like right now I could be feeding my kids but I told them "Daddy has to sit here at the computer till the server gets up hunny...they said it would only be around 45minutes!" GREAT now they going to starve...thanks A LOT Spiral Knights Team!!!!
